4.0 d..any thoughts when it may be ready....

I believe this release will allow the hoovered over prayer list to display for an acceptable length of time....
I think it is in beta 3....
if we meet and you forget me,
you have lost nothing.
But if you meet Jesus and forget Him,
you have lost everything.

Don't know about the prayer lists as I have not been using them.
This beta is a little harder to assess than most of the earlier ones. It has almost no new features, mostly bug fixes. Usually a beta goes public when the new features are ironed out, and as you see that happening you assume it is close to release. I am reading of few if any troubles with the few new features which would lead me to believe the end is near. But this beta is aimed more at bug fixes so we'll just have to wait and see how Logos handles this one. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks for your thoughts.....this is what I was referring to....
Rev. Mr. Carey Pearson:
I was hoping that we would get the ability to view a daily prayer indefinitely as long as the cursor was on the prayer item, like when the cursor is on a verse hyperlink.
As is, the box disappears after about 8 seconds, and all too often, on my second attempt to make it re-appear, I accidently "mark it done'.
Should I have an expectation that this will be modified?
This will be fixed in 4.0d.

Okay, okay, I switch to the home page. Yes it is fixed... I didn't check if it were the full hour but it stays[Y]

Agreed, I get the feeling that 4.0 may settling down, and the 4.1 beta may be coming.

I don't think they're jumping straight to 4.1 yet. Bob has already told us that 4.0e has been under concurrent development with 4.0d and it's going to have lots more goodies that we'll like (I can't find the thread where he mentioned that but it was within the last few days). I think they made 4.0d with few user features in order to get the COM API implemented as soon as possible since that was holding up other developers, but they're back to working on stuff that most of us have been eagerly awaiting.
EDIT: Dave beat me to it. Here's the specific link to Bob's post. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/18178/137419.aspx#137419

This is one of the best features yet, apart from all the other best features, so its really important.
Sadly, the "Highlights" and "Add to Notes" already in the Logos4 application has access to internal information, that is unavailable to the COM API, so its currently impossible to create a "Notes" tool that can be better than the one already built in.
My hope is that the COM API will grow more powerful, and then in time, someone will build a better mousetrap that actually can make good notes. Logos does not need to write the better "Notes" if the COM API is given enough power!!!

Envisioning Photoshopped image of a mousetrap with Logos logo on it, but didn't have time to do it. [:)]

Hi Rosie,
Nice to hear from you again, after you took some time out for yourself.
Sometimes an imagined graphic is way more cool than one actually drawn!

Just you mentioning it is almost as irritating as having it happen in Word!!

I wonder what the feature / change will be that pushes it to 4.1?

Thanks for that ... [:)]
I was going to draw one myself, or find one on some web site, but I had to go out for a few hours.
Maybe I'm different to others, but I kind of like Clippy and Jar Jar Binks.
Mesa go read other posts now.

Incredible that you should say that. This is what I woke up to on my homepage today:
