Missing Resources
I still have a few old Logos resources that are not showing up in my V4 resouces. They are all old logos books... not the new ones. Where do I go from here to get them to be seen/included by the progam? We are talking about 6 books if I have this all figuered out...
Also, for lack of a better place to put this, how do I delete a layout that I don't want or is a duplicate... I have several that I need to get rid of.
On a similar note, Iike the way that we can add a link on the tool bar, certainly a lot easier, however, I have several links there now, that all look alike... we need to have a way to change them so that we have the icons that we used to, or to be able to have the name show up... how can this be accomplished?
thanks

Hi Kelly,
What are your six old Logos resources? Do the book files have the .LLS and .LIX extensions (Logos Library System) or the .lbxlls extension (Libronix DLS)?
To delete a layout, either click the X in the upper right corner of the layout thumbnail, or right click on thumbnail and choose Delete.
There isn't currently a way to customize the shortcuts; you have to hover over one to see what it is. Icon text may be added in the future.
Thanks,

Thank you very much Melissa, the layouts are now managed! Yea! the missing resouces were 6 to start with, but with Beta 2 they went to 4 missing, so now I am missing:
Ministry letters (LLS);
ID: LLS:46.30.4
ID: LLS:46.30.1201
ID: LLS.2.0.5
Although I am not sure which one, one of these missing resources is The Nelson Study Bible, New King James Version.
Thanks for your help!

If you still have the LLS version of the "Ministry Letters" book file, you can download the Libronix (.lbxlls) version from our ftp site: ftp://ftp.logos.com/lbxbooks/MNSTRYLTRS.lbxlls and save it to your default path in LDLS 3 (C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Resources). That resource, however, does not come up in Logos 4 for me at this time. The other resources are:
- LLS:46.30.4 - Greek-English Lexicon of the NT Based on Semantic Domains (Louw Nida)
- LLS:46.30.1201 - E4's Greek Lexicon [Logos 4 will not use resources that are virtually the same as other, newer versions.]
- LLS:2.0.5 - Nelson Study Bible, New King James Version

Since the beginning of the test period I have had one less resource showing up on my laptop than on my main computer at home. Currently it shows 4635 on the one and 4634 on the other. I thought LBS4 was supposed to be able to identify missing resources and download them - perhaps this isn't active yet.
How can I determine what is missing? In Libronix 3 it was easy. I just did a Bibliography on both, copied them to an Excel worksheet and compared the two. LBS4 doesn't seem to any similar option. using CTL-A highlights all the books in the library, but there seems to be no way to copy the titles now.

If you have resources missing, try forcing a scan from the command line in L4 (type "scan c:\ your L4 resource directory), which I think will check your directory with your LDLS 3 dir. & then download the missing resources (probably after a restart). However, it will cause a re-index to then take place.

The download feature is only active for the beta test resources (syntax databases, reverse interlinears, Biblical Things, etc.) It has not yet been activated for all LLS/Libronix resources.

Alex, the way that I found the book was that I always use it for sermon study... I loaded it on the layout and then it showed that it was missing but it gave the LLS code.

The missing resources issue is a server problem not a resource or indexing problem. See http://community.logos.com/forums/t/1845.aspx
If only I had gotten one of the guys who have 3-4,000 resource licenses instead of someone's who had less licenses than my own [:P]
