A recurrent question in the forums is why the chapter/verse changed when the user expects it to stay fixed. When it is only a verse or two different, they rarely notice but when text goes wandering as it does in Jeremiah or when Ezra/Nehemiah slip on how much they overlap or when looking for the colophon of Job which is in one of my LXXX I swear …does it become confusing to many users. Even the Psalms confuse some.
Therefore, I would like to see Logos provide the documentation of the common of:
- mapping differences that change the chapter number
- the verses removed from modern translations
- the various overlapping books of Ezra/Esdras (4th Ezra e.g.)
- Esther vs. Greek Esther vs additions to Esther
- Daniel vs. (Greek) Daniel with additions
- Long/short ending of Mark
- Colophon of Job
- Short vs long Acts
