This is a test file. In trying to create argument maps for apologetics I discovered that many of the arguments are conventional not logical. For example, sola scripture hinges on the cessation of Apostolic tradition, works depends on the distinction between causality and correlation, created grace depends on "someone once proposed" vs. "the church teaches". So, I naively decided to approach apologetics from a different perspective - how do different theological traditions understand a pericope theologically. I discovered I was blissfully naive about the number of theological differences in the simplest of pericopes. I set up ChatGPT to give me a "neutral" set of options, trained to be inclusive but to get there I had to give up more idiosyncratic readings. In my actual study for the core issues, I try to create for/against evidence for each of the alternatives shown. Where I don't understand the issues, I try to find commentaries within the listed traditions that take the position. As time and interest allow, I explore the sub-issues offered. Unfortunately, as my primary interests in theology are hermeneutics and liturgical my one pericope a day soon became a faded dream. So, I started adding in comparative lessons which put the theology into a more familiar context. This is the first of 3 files on Genesis. It is primarily as AI produced it as I am correcting as I study - I lack the knowledge to catch anything short of egregious errors initially. I will add milestones so it can link to Bibles. I wanted to add LST linkage but think it is unlikely I could do it accurately.
In that context, is the file of interest to anyone other than myself? I won't bring it up to snuff or keep the entries balanced if it is only for myself. So, if you are interested, please let me know. And if you are interested, let me know of any changes you think would improve it for your uses.
