Badge for your Library amount and the value of your Library

Since you added the badge for your subscription of what level of subscription you have. I think it may be a great addition if you have badges for how many books you have in your library for example 100 books library badge, 1,000 books library badge to give a couple of examples and also if you can have the value of your book library next to the badge. Also the ability to hide(turn on/off) the badges for people who stream or create videos that others may not say something like they are flexing.

Your library will show the number of books. The value of the library would be difficult… if you want to see how much you've spent you can go to the order history page, click view all, and it will have a total on the very bottom (it may be off, as the total might not reflect transfers you've made or received).

Also, if you did get a badge for your library… does that include hidden books? Personal books? Subscription books or books you have temporary access to? Want a huge boost in your library to get a badge? Add the Perseus Digital library with over 1000 "books". It's free.

You seem to not understand the logic in what I said. Let me ask you this question, what is the point of having the subscription badge? Do you think each and everyone on this platform can't remember what subscription they have subscribed to? Of course almost everyone remembers what they subscription level is and if most remember what the subscription level is then what is the point of it? This is where I believe you do not follow even what is already existing on the platform with the subscription badge. What is the point of it? Well there it is not for people that can't remember what their subscription level is but a badge is exactly what the definition of the title is:

:A distinctive emblem worn to indicate membership, rank, office, or achievement. It serves as a visual marker of authority or a symbol of accomplishment.

In our culture it is used to show achievement or accomplishment so to have any badge at all is to fit inside this definition. So if they are to utilize a badge interface at least add something that has more detailed and useful information. Some people care about it and you seem that you do not care about that information and that it is you right and I respect it. So if they use badge system then my vote is to use have badges or even dashboard tiles that people can select and if they don't want to see them do add it. So to be technical no badges are needed at all. In our culture they are used to symbolize an accomplishment or status which I was not a fan of when it was added. However if they are not going to remove it then they should add more useful information. I agree that not all want to see badges and if you did not want badges interface then you should voice your concerns about what is already implemented as this is only an addition to an already existing system not a suggestion to add the interface itself.

So I hope that sheds some light into the matter for you. Badges are not needed and is mainly used for the younger generation as they fed on accomplishments, achievements, and status so I am with you that I don't think it is appropriate for and seems only designed to get people to subscribe, to stay Subscribed, or to upgrade and I understand they are running a business and so they need to make money and so I am not comfortable to be honest with the badge interface and that being said if they are to keep it and they at least they can add more detailed and useful information. So that is my stance on this matter and whatever your view is I understand both sides and I lean more towards the conservative side to remove the subscription badges however if they will not remove and I understand their stance if they do not, then then add more useful information and that is my suggestion.

But what is the accomplishment?

I think many of us with huge libraries can tell you… having 200 books that you actually read is far better than having 20,000 books that you don't. It would be similar to someone spending $20,000 on exercise equipment that they never use vs someone who just exercises with whatever they happen to have laying around (milk jugs, running outside, etc). The amount spent and # of books is really not a helpful metric.

What you said is true, assuming that the person reads all the books in entirety. I do deep dive bible study and not read entire books, the only book I ever completed ever in my life was the bible. I have ADHD, and dyslexia and I have to sometimes read the same sentence 5 or more times to make sense of it and then read further and that may not make sense and then I have to go back and read the same sentence I read 5x already and so it I would not be able to read 200+ books in entirety in my lifetime realistically since I was only able to have finish one book in my whole life(50 years to God's glory) which is the bible. So you assume all learn as you do which is not realistic seeing how all people are created differently in the image of God. I do deep dive bible study and sometimes I went down a paths where I have no resources and I had 12,000+ books in my library at that time and sometimes there are a few to no resources available on Logos that is how deep I can dive on a topic. This platform is designed for bible study more than book reading and 200 books is not a comprehensive library to study many topic in great depth . I did deep dives for weeks to months on a single topic and to dive deep I need multiple resources on that specific topic for it to bear fruit(not always the case). Who I am , how my mind works is perfect in God's eyes and I play a role in his kingdom. People see how I think as a weakness my whole life however God uses it for for his glory as he uses what seems to be foolish to this world to shame the world. I see what countless others do not see(how my mind works) by the power of God as it is Jesus who reveales truth( as Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life) seeing how Jesus is the ultimate source of Truth only he can reveal truth to those who he chooses. The smartest person on the planet can read the bible and all books about it and know nothing and think it is nonsense if Jesus does not reveal truth to him.

So to directly respond to your comment 200 books I will never read in it's entirety has less value then 16,000 books to do not read in its entirety but are used to study a specific topic that God wants to reveal to me. I may read a paragraph from one resource and maybe 20 pages of another resource and maybe a sentence of another and so on to give an example until I am satisfied, which maybe hours to months on the specific topic, in most cases it is weeks. You are correct when you say it is not a helpful metrics only what God think of us is the most important thing. My suggestion is for Logo to increase sales by showing how the user is getting unmatched value and the user to see the value they gain from the platform. This is common in our culture for platforms to show your total savings and you see it everywhere and you may not see the connection to it. I am sure you see sales, a sale is to discount and item or product so the discounted item or product that gives value to the consumer to help increase their sales, that is experienced everywhere on the plant, furthermore banks and other institutions show how much you saved since you signed up with them or how much you gained since you signed up this is to show people the value they offer for they are confident with them and will do more business and buy or invest more. I do not want to get into a debate with you over this matter however if you need more clarity I am willing to give it to you openly.

The primary purpose of the subscription badge is, in fact, to provide information to the user. Not all users are always aware of their current subscription status, especially users who did not personally subscribe, such as those with a subscription tied to a university or church.
