Steps to recreate:

Add a new song slide, which will be created with center-left alignment option, "show title on first slide" option enabled.
Make adjustments to the alignment option, such as "align top left" option enabled, or "show title on every slide" option.
Right click slide and select "Set as default Song"
- This option in the past worked to adjust the default media types, and persisted settings options such as layout, which is the entire point of customized media templates.
View that the newly generated slide does not have the settings that were supposedly saved in the previous slide

The bug may be that the default media being saved via the "easy option" by right clicking on the slide in the presentation order vs going into the dedicated default media template editor, as editing it in the default media pane seems to work better and more consistently.
