Reading complete footnotes in NET Bible

The first footnote in Genesis 1:1 of the NET Bilbe is longer than the box that pops up when you hover over the number and longer than the text box that comes up when you cllick the footnote number.

How does one get access to the entire footnote?

Thanks in advance.

    Chris,

I can confirm that this is a bug.

you can do a "work around" by opening "power lookup" window and highlighting the note #1 and it will show the entire note.

Just left-click on it and you get access to the entire note.

My suggestion wasn't good enough [:S]

Open up the Power Lookup and then navigate to Gen 1:1. I think that is what you are looking for. The Power Lookup will reveal all the links in the given window, I think. If you highlight a section, e.g. a list of verses, It will display those verses.

    This work around works.

There's another way this bug appears: In another footnote, Gen 2:4 Note #9 - I get a scroll bar (with a gazzilion grey bars), but it only goes down a couple of more lines and not to the bottom.

I hope Logos people pick this up as a bug. Or should I put it into a new post?

    George:

I've attached a video because the notes window disappears whenever I click Jing. I do have a couple of screens saved in a Word doc from PrtSc, if you want them.

    Here's what I did:

    Open NET Bible

Open Search and select NET Bible as target

Enter footnote:beginning as the search item and search

Click on Gen 2:4 footnote 9 in search screen

Click on footnote 9 in Gen 2:4 in NET Bible screen. Shows with lots of orange bars.

Scroll down in the footnote screen to the bottom - just a few lines.

    George:

If I close the search screen the orange bars disappear and a few gray ones (history) are left. It seems to reproduce the scroll bar from the main resource screen.

This is good, so the orange highlighting is search term hits, which would be why they go away when you close search. This is definitely a new bug with the footnotes. Thanks for the screencast.

Of co8urse you can have the NET Bible Notes resource open separately.

    George,

    There is an inconsistency here:-

Hovering may display a truncated note, so

Clicking displays more of the note!

BUT Chris gets a scroll bar when clicking whereas I do not (Beta 2). IF you get a scroll bar you would expect to see all of the note, yet that does not appear to be the case from Chris' video because I see more in Power Lookup (which always displays the complete note)!

Chris; the net bible notes are a separate resource IF you purchased them separately from bible.com. $20.00

You get the NET with no notes and separately the note file.

The scroll bar comes from a bug, it really isn't supposed to be there, I think it's a result of the search, which counts all the hits and puts orange highlights in the scroll bar, and the mouseover should only display a small part of the footnote until you click it.

    George,

Libronix V3, When clicking on footnote in NetBible I get a fixed popup and scroll bar if there are more text then the popup window can hold. Are you saying that in Libronix V4 the scroll bar is not going to be there?

I noticed in Libronix V4b3 this scroll bar is missing. A good example will be Is 7:14 (note 26)

Can we have the scroll bar back? Thank you!

Sorry for the late response! Rest assured, the scroll bar is definitely there, I just checked.
