tagging, prioritizing and ranking while reading a resource
It would be nice to be able to do the following while reading a resource:
1. add/remove tags
2. set as a prioritized resource
3. give it a star ranking
As it is now, we need to click on "Library", find the resource, give it tags or star ranking. Click on Prioritize, prioritize the resource.
These abilities could be added to the (i) info tab about each resource. Prioritizing the resource could either send it to teh bottom of the list to be arranged later, or a prioritize dialogue could appear to choose where to put its priority.

I can't figure how you do it whilst reading .... but it could be performed from the resource Information pane.[:)]
In addition integrate those functions with Collections as it would save a lot of to and fro!
a prioritize dialogue could appear to choose where to put its priority.
...as part of a revamp of this notorious list!

Absolutely (and I've mentioned the same much earlier).
I refer you to my last post on a lack of indication whether UI suggestions are being considered, if so which ones, and with these when....

Prioritise should always send to the bottom of the list. It makes absolutely no sense,a s it stands, that it sends the resource to the top of the list in Library view.

Agreed. I haven't quite figured out the logic behind putting it at the top. I have my top spots nicely arranged and a new discovery that I prioritized outranks them all. I know they can be rearranged (and usually are, with the exception of my first priority of my favorite Bible), or dragged directly into the correct position, but "Prioritize this Resource" should go to the bottom by default.

Agreed! At least have a "where do you want to slot it?" dialogue box! [:D]

Just for the record, I suggested that already also. I think it might be a more complicated to do, since there are 2 Betas since it has been suggested first. We will see next. I hope before the RC version we will have it included. It happens quite often I would like to use of those features as reading or using the resource. Later while being in the Library, I not always remember, just being an older man already [:(]

It's been a common lament. I wasn't trying to single myself out on this count.
Rather, my point is that we have received little feedback on issues related to the UI - some of them very obvious (inconsistent menu layouts in the right click context menu, for example). While I appreciate that much energy is being expended on squashing bugs (and more than a little bit of energy has been expended on providing us with Visual Markup), it would be good to know which UI changes are actually in the game... that way, we could simply say "Refer to the Release Notes" as we do for many other issues. If there is no hope of a change on this issue (God forbid + I doubt it) we ought be told so that we can say "Please see the response of xxx...."

Yes, I understand, It has been my point also in remembering the matter. Thanks for your reply Damian.

It only takes one person to agree a bug needs to be fixed. It takes a few people to talk through the implications of a UI change, and/or to work out a better design.
Crashing bugs are getting first priority, then feature bugs, then UI. Then I'm in Europe, someone was on vacation, etc.
Sorry for the delay -- we'll get to it.

Bob,
once again; we appreciate it...we know you're working on this stuff. [;)]

We really appreciate your involvement in all this process. Thank you for that. By the way, Bob, if you are in Europe, does it mean we will see some more European Translations in Logos? May be even Czech Bibles? [:)]

Bob, seriously, there was no need for an apology. I fully understand that bugs are Number One and that you pulled people off that to provide us with Visual Markup.
I also realise that we're only on Beta 3. Further, there have been thousands upon thousands of comments regarding the UI. As a result, searching the forums for comments which have already been made about the UI is getting harder. The same comments keep reappearing for this reason. I don't think that this is a bad thing as it highlights which areas people are most passionate about (no one else seems to care that the context menu layout is inconsistent or that some of the menu items aren't clear).
Thanks for your hard and good work.
