Bug A27: Footnotes are not clickable

Please see this thread here:Problems with ESV

As I understand the above thread this is by design?  Doesn't make sense to me at all this is not how the PC version works.  Note that the cursor becomes a hand icon (why if its not clickable?).  When you click the link/footnote in the mac ver nothing happens... On the PC version when you click the footnote the refs become hyperlinks which are then clickable.  Very nice, this is how it should be.

    Nathan:

The ESV works the same for me on the Mac and Windows. In the thread you reference when you click on the footnote for "O" in 1 Corin. 10:23 nothing occurs on either platform. When one hovers over the same footnote it displays the chapter and verse cited. Both versions display a hand when hovering over the footnote as well.

In short it is the exact same. I might not understand your post right but it seems that you are indicating this is not the case. Am I correct? If I am correct how is it different?

Sorry, I'm sure I didn't explain it correctly.

Ok, in the ESV on the PC ver goto Gen 15.18 click on the "y" footnote (this brings up the refs in a sticky window) then you can hover over the individual refs and it displays the verse without having to actually go there.

On the Mac ver when you hover (or click) over the "y" footnote it just shows the cross refs, (no sticky balloon) it does not bring the refs up as hyperlinks and there is no way to preview the verse.  At least thats how it is on my A27 mac.

    Nathan,

We haven't implemented this feature yet. It's on our radar, we just haven't gotten there yet.
