Exegetal Guide not Showing All Resources

How do I see the other lexicons after running an exegetical guide. It only shows three. In an earlier beta definitely under 3.0 I could have it to show all of the lexicals that I owned. Notice the options on the right.  How do I get it back.

I am also having the same problem. I  posted previously on this in the forum. Seems this is a Beta problem, & i am not sure why the rest of my Lexicons are not appearing. Maybe there is a reasonable explanation, i would sure like to know why.

    Hi Ted,

I was having the same trouble, too. And I agree it USED to work in B3 & doesn't, now. But apparently, mine started working when I explicitly included a new collection called commentaries that excludes all the ones I didn't want to use & uses all others. (I would've done that anyway--don't want results from the Daily Study Bible OT commentaries, nor a couple of one-volume commentaries). Have you tried setting up something similar?

    Blessings!

    Grace & Peace,
    Bill

Thanks bill for the suggestion, i will try that. However i do not see how creating a commentary collection would make my Lexicon appear. I think i get what you are saying create a lexicon collection. Hopefully that should take care of it.

    Every blessing Bill,

    Ted.

My guess is that this has to do with the rebuilding of resources. Looking forward to a hopeful B5 w/ resources tomorrow. Yes Logos, you now have my permission to send more [:D]

At last one of the designers of V4 has thrown light on the mysteries of the Exegetical guide[:)] Thanks Philip for the info.

I am missing the complete access to the lexical resources. I also notice that you go from one source to another that there will be different resources chosen for the same Hebrew word. Only three are chosen in each presentation but the KJV RI will show different lexical resources from the esv ri as an example.

I also have a concern that involves the exegetical guide. The word by word section is listing the different Interlinears etc in a drop down box style on my computers with my scholars gold box sets (2 computers: a desktop with xp sp3 and a laptop with vista sp2) and yet my wife's laptop with just an amplified bible collection (vista sp2) displays the same things in horizontal tabs so that they are all visible and selectable without an extra step. The same number of resources in each so why are they displaying and presenting differently? The tabs are much nicer.

Beta Beta beta beta gets better better better,

I get the drop-down box (little arrow next to bible name) and haven't seen tabs!

BUG: The Bible shown is the first in my Prioritize list for the language except (BUG) when you repeat a passage it will use the resource from the original EG.

BUG: The lexicons shown also come from my Prioritize list, but (BUG) there are no definitions for the last lexicon which is a live link to the wrong word!

Note the different presentations of the passages.

Why no English text with LHI?

Why show one word? What is the logic behind the choice of word and verse?

    Yes... what is that about....

On my little netbook, I can't read the definitions because of the length of the title of one lexicon (how about some wrap-around)

I gave my concise HALOT a short name, and it uses that instead of the loooong one.  I expect they will eventually give all resources short names.  But you can too.

How do you assign a short name of your own?

In the library info pane, you can edit both the long and the short names of your resources.  Notice the little pencil icons next to the names:

The first bug appears to be fixed, but I still have a problem with the last lexicon - TWOT/Enh Strong's in OT.

I'm satisfied that my issues are resolved. TWOT numbers are a work-in-progress.

EDIT:   (for Pavich)  My issues in this thread are effectively resolved.
