Passage Guide Frustrations
The Libronix 3 Passage Guides were very "Customizable" and they had the built-in ability to retain much of the same.
But the new beta versions in Logos 4 persist in forgetting what has been "closed" or "unchosen" in any of the previous PG's.
They appear to be 'hard coded" in that they NEVER on their own, allow a user-made "collection" to repeat from PG to PG.
They also insist on showing you all of their "prizes" in each of the sections that have discovered anything.
Ergo: you are showing me a lot of what I don't want and making me go search for what I really value.
Thank you for at least making "collections" an option.
But It is not intuitively clear that you must continue to make individual "collection" selections.
This present version of the "one-at-a-time" way of selecting them leaves something to be desired.
Steve
ps. (Along with (associated) tool buttons, this was the feature that I have used the most in Libronix 3. (I have commented separately on the music section).

Hi Stephen,
I share those concerns... working the same way for me.

I wish they would get rid of this "functionality". I prefer most sections closed and not running. I want the individual sections to run when I open them.
Is a link to the actual bible text coming?

my cheap workaround to this is to put a word for word at the top that defaults to show no words.

Philip,
could you show a screen shot of how you do that? I couldn't get it to work.

This has been requested, and may be added in a future release.

I agree that they should be close-able at start up, but if you want something to work with for now you can always make an empty template, or with the sections you always want to open, and then "add" the section when you want to see them.

Request to remember collapsed/expanded sections in Guides has been submitted. ~ Melissa
Edit: If you are searching a previously searched passage, it currently remembers which sections were collapsed/expanded before, so the request is to expand this ability to new searches.

Another "thank you".
I assume that this includes the functionality of v3 in which the section does not run until it is opened.

Yes, we don't want it run until it is opened. You can get rid of the klutzy "Stop" if that is implemented!
