When will search, text-comparison, info, etc support font size adjustment?

I'm running on a 17" Macbook Pro at 1920x1200 and the (unadjustable) font-size used by search results, info panel, copy bible verses, text comparison, passage lists, power lookup, etc is really, really small.  Likewise with the tooltips that appear when hovering the mouse over a superscript footnote marker.

Finally, while on the topic of font-sizes, when will the Mac version get the additional resource font-size "notches" (see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/21852/167509.aspx#167509) that the Windows version received a while back?

    There's no specific estimate, but it's on our list of things to do.

    This is really really urgent!! It's an irreversible health issue, not just an annoyance. It's destroying my eyes to have to look 5-10 cm from the screen; and it's destroying the rest of my body having to bend over in awkward positions all the time. Please please fix this soon!

    And please make the normal Mac commands of command-+ and command-- work for increasing/decreasing the font size in whatever pane or window you're in.

    If enabled in System Preferences - Universal Access

    the key combination command together with alt allows the + and - keys to zoom

    I know about the Universal Access zoom... I sometimes hold down Cmd and then zoom in/out using the touchpad (two-finger up/down swipe).  This is a partial (and not very pleasing solution) since the entire screen is zoomed (meaning I cannot see other parts of the screen with relevant panels) and the display becomes pixellated.  Best solution will be a proper solution where, like the Windows version, every panel can have its text size changed.  Now, a keyboard shortcut (such as the standard Mac Cmd+<plus key> and Cmd+<minus key>) to increase/decrease text size will be a great boon.  This (the keyboard shortcut) is something I've requested many times before on the Windows forum.

    I'm with you Stuart! I hate the zoom! Only use it when I absolutely have to.

    Besides, it doesn't even solve our problem. The panes with tiny text are normally situated along the edges of the screen. If I zoom, they are the first to disappear!

    If you use the 'Universal Access' option and click on 'options' you get the the chance to smooth resulting images which will help with pixelation and you can move to the edge of your screen simply by moving the pointer.

    Having just done a test I find that both methods of zoom allow you to move to the edge of the window by moving the cursor to the edge of the window.

    Thanks Mike.  I use the universal access zoom sometimes when I'm doing presentations from my macbook, etc and it's a help at times.  But it's less than ideal for long-term use of Logos (anything more than 30mins).  And some days I spent up to 2 hours in Logos... it's days like those when the small fonts (esp. in search result windows) begins to hurt.

    I do understand Stuart. I find myself peering at the screen at times.

    I am left wondering why the designers didn't implement a 'per panel' or 'per resource' full 'font style', 'font size' system via the font control panel?

    However as I don't see this coming soon - the short lived program scaling - was a display disaster.

    I do point out the Zoom functions that are available whenever I see a new voice expressing concern. After all they are all we have at the moment.

    Those with really poor eyesight can investigate the various screen resolutions available. Providing the ratio of hight to width is maintained there should be no loss of sharpness and the setting is relatively easy to switch.

    I assumed that the post that expressed concern over items disappearing off the edge of the screen was unaware that the screen could be shifted. The controls seem a little course though.

  • Universal Access (in System Preferences) also has Display Contrast adjustments that can improve readability.

    Thankful Logos 4 Mac program settings now has Resource Panel Background - helps display contrast on some panels.

    Is there an update to the status of getting the font slider in the Text Comparison panel for the Mac?  I love Logos for all its wonderful features but this is my single biggest issue I would like to see changed. I often like to compare translations when doing devotions and bible studies and the lack of the font slider is making it unusable.

    Thanks for all the wonderful features that DO make it into the software. They are appreciated.

    I'm curious...  why must we vote for the feature parity that Logos committed to deliver?

    The whole voting thing is to help Logos know which projects to prioritize based upon user demand.

    Concur Logos promised feature parity between Mac and PC.  Genesis for creating Logos User Voice suggestions for community voting began with Quo Vadimus 4.4? thread discussion about Mac priorities.  Over past 7 weeks, User Voice voting is showing Logos 4 Mac Enhancements more desired than completing overall Feature Parity:

    # 33 => Logos 4 Mac Enhancements with 88 votes

    # 48 => Improve Logos 4 Mac Feature Parity with PC with 47 votes

    # 78 => Improve Logos 4 Mac Note Positioning with 21 votes

    # 84 => Improve Logos 4 Menu Responsiveness with 18 votes

    # 137 => Logos 4 Mac Program Scaling and Font Sliders with 7 votes (already moved up from # 315 earlier today)

    # 169 => Please add Logos 4 Program Settings with 5 votes

    Apologies: should have created Logos 4 Mac Program Scaling and Font Sliders weeks ago. [:$]
