The ESV interlinear in not behaving properly. When I click the interlinear button I notice I get a double line at the bottom of the screen, if I click it again it goes back to a single line. It seems like it wants to do something but can't. The NASB interlinear works fine.
I finished the Resource update and thought that might fix the problem but it is the same as before.
I get this message when I try to attach the log files..

I am seeing the same thing with the ESV interlinear.
There were updates to the reverse interlinear files yesterday. Did you both run that update? The download would have been 1-2 GB in size.
Melissa
I ran the update this morning and still do not have the interlinear. I was seeing the behaviour mentioned above where the line appears at the bottom of the esv window/pane but no data before and after the update. Right now my machine is still indexing. This is just for the ESV the other interlinears seem to work.
I just installed a beta on this computer (beta 3) last Friday and I did not have the esv reverse interlinear since I installed it here. I am away from home so I cannot check my main install, which last time I checked had the esv-ri.
This is an older laptop (1.6 gHz, 512 MB ram). Other than being slow, the beta seems to work otherwise.
The current beta is Beta 4 (4.0.2.9821). So if it does not have that version yet, more software and resource updates will need to be downloaded and installed.
Melissa
I'm running beta 4, 4.0.2.9821

Thanks Clinton. Could you do the following?
Thank you,
Melissa
Mellissa I am current on updates as well. I took a screen shot so you could see the two lines at the bottom of the screen. I would attach the log files but I get this message when I go to my documents to get them.

do you know what this looks like?
It looks EXACTLY LIKE when I uncheck ALL of the boxes in the interlinear...i get the exact same thing.
When I shut my rev int down and start up again...the lines come back.

Ed and Clinton,
Thanks for the screenshot and log files--I've sent those to dev.
Thanks Robert for the additional information and screencast, too.

I think this is just the ESV Interlinear crying out to be a "stand alone" book![;)], which, by the way, is still a request that I have. The ESV Interlinear had become "my bible" when doing Bible study in Logos. I still don't like the inability to see the complete text in context, with all the grammatical information at a glance, instead of just a line of information at the bottom.

I totally agree with this!!!! I would love to have the ability to choose entire screen or bottom of the screen on each interlinear.

Totally agree, if only Logos will heed our plea.

Yes, i too ask that Logos reconsiders this and make it a stand alone. I do not like the ribben method at all.
Thanks!

I too would like to have control over how it is displayed. Sometimes the full interlinear is exactly what I need. But not all the time. A final version of Logos4 that would provide the option as to how the interlinear would be helpful to people who find the ribbon and the full screen helpful given their individual study habits.
This to me is a deal breaker. I simply cannot make this new version of logos my main bible study tool without a proper reverse interlinear that I can make whole screen and read like a normal book (ie the wya that the current one does) To remove a fantastic feature of the current software in a release version would be commercial suicide.

With Beta 5 my esv interlinear is back...
6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my esv interlinear that was lost.’ Logos 15:6 (LSV)
The ESV Interlinear is back up and running with the ribbon. Giddyup!!!!!!!!
I really like the ribbon but would love to have the choice for the full screen ESV interlinear. It sometimes just helps to see the full screen.

I agree that while I like the ribbon, there have been times where it seemed more difficult to find the information I wanted. I actually really like the way the passage guide does interliners, original on left and English on right. I just don't know what to do with the rest of the information in such a setup.
We've heard the cry for restored "full window" reverse interlinear. In order to avoid an essentially duplicated resource (which will clutter up Library and search results) we're looking to offer this as an optional display in the ESV -- you can turn on the ribbon below, as well as turn on whatever lines you'd like in the main display area.
This bit of code may not make the initial 4.0 release, which is on a tight schedule, but it's high on our priority list for following releases.
Thank you.

Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are the best.
Even though I haven't chimed in on this debate I cannot help but be grateful once again to Logos for listening and responding to your users.
Thanks Bob and all who make Logos such great software!
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
Thanks, Bob! I appreciate it!
