I have several Pre-pub orders coming up in December, so I guess I can concider those as my Christmas gifts, or I could suggest tax-refund discounts, Christmas in July discounts, October-fest specials, and fall-back pricing specials, in other words, specials for every month.Count me in for the January "Just 'Cause" Sale and the February "Discounts so steep you'll need a Sherpa" sale. Originally we had to buy on the day offered. [without knowing what was coming later]
Last year they reopened all codes so that if we had missed one [or more] we could still get it.
Anyone know if we can wait and see or do we have to grab now? [What are the rules?]

Aren't you jumping the gun a bit? Logos hasn't even announced that there will be a Christmas Special yet.
If you want you can check http://www.12daysoflogos.com/ every day to see if it updates, but I'm sure they'll announce it on the Blog when they want to tell us.

When Jesus returns He will NOT ask how much have you read about Me OR how much do you know about Me, BUT: how much have you DONE for Me...
NOW stop eating yourself fat and start sharing the good news folks...

Ah how profound that always sounds. However, as a nursing mother first must take in nourishment to then give out to her child, so those whom God has given as leaders, pastors, elders, etc. must take in that nourishment and do as the body does; break it down into portions which are easily consumed by the child.
That eating which the mother does is mandatory to feeding the child. Then, those who study should also teach others how to study for themselves (feed a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime).
So, although that sounded oh so profound, it is not a principle found in Scripture. Even the Apostles spent 3 years in the Seminary of the Nazarene, learning, asking, learning, digesting, learning, studying, learning and then finally feeding others (while they were still learning afterall just look at all the hiccups in the book of Acts with the formal Church forming).

You have an excellent point Nancy, some people misinterprets doing anything for yourself as being selfish, yet I can’t spread the Good Word to anyone without knowing it first. There is the airplane analogy that I like a lot, if the air presser goes down, you have to put the air mask on first before putting one on anyone else, because you can’t help anyone put their mask on, if you are gasping for air.0 -
I'd like to add this resource to my OP list.
http://www.logos.com/product/2817/introducing-the-apocrypha-message-context-and-significance
Introducing the Apocrypha: message, content, and significance. Rosie turned me on to this title and I found it to be highly recommended by John Glynn in his Commentary and Reference Survey.
Come to think of it , this title isn't expensive at 28 dollars. Maybe I should be suggesting only expensive titles. Does anyone know if Logos only selects titles for their 12 day sale that have a base price over a specific value?
BTW...Nancy...[Y]

Two that immediately come to mind:
ICC Romans Commentary
Theological Journal Bundle0 -
Thank you for the mother and airplane analogies...
I now have some strong arguments to convince my wife that I really need something like the Anchor Yale for Chrismas... So I put my vote on that and also some ANET materials... [:D]
I do however see Jesus DOING and TEACHING. The disciples DID first and Jesus taught them afterwards.. it is called training-on-the-job... so start moving [8o|]

The ICC Romans Commentary would be most welcome!

Please Please PLEEEEEZZZZZZZZZ with sugar on top.
i'll take just about any commentary on Romans. I've made it a practice to read through it (the Epistle, not the commentaries)each month since the early 90's and my dissertation will be on Rom 1:16-17 and JBFA. [:D]

P.S. my b'day is 12/31 so you can also put it up on sale after Christmas. [^]

I'd be happy to see a kind of a merged and discounted collection of everything from Martyn Lloyd-Jones (next year is 20 years since 1981), especially now that his final volumes on Acts are out. I have them through Pre-pub, but I haven't purchased "Ephesians" and "Selected Works" yet.
Thanks.

Timothy, you missed a decade! [+o(]
That anniversary happened 9 years ago. Anyway it might make a fitting 30th anniversary package.

Alright, here's what I would like -- I'm day dreaming here, so bare with me...hehehe:
1. College Press NIV 4 volume upgrade for $40 bucks...that way I can complete the OT set. I already own the NT set.
2. Lenski for $100 or $150.
3. John G. Butler's all volumes for $100.
4. Inductive Bible Study with Logos Bible Software for $10.
5. Handbook for Bible Study by Osborne and Woodward for $7.
6. The Bible Speaks Today New Testament (22Vols.) for $40....AND...
7. Zondervan Illustrated Bible Background Commentary OT & NT both for $100 or $125. That would be awesome!!!
And as a bonus Lange's commentary all 63 volumes for $100 bucks!

I think Logos should have a free for all. For 10 minutes during the 12 Days of Logos the Logos store should allow you to buy anything you want for free. You wouldn't know when the 10 minutes would begin so you would have to be on your toes.

Now this is almost obscene. Do you know how much I could buy in 10 minutes? I am one of those obsessed souls who refreshes the screen while I am refreshing the screen. I could probably get $5K a minute. And if Logos doubts that, I'd like to prove I can.
On second thought: It would only bring the servers to a huge crashing halt. When Am@zon,com introduced the Wii for $99 the screen refreshes crashed their servers.

Merry Christmas!
Wow, that is Christmas dreaming! Visions of sugarplums? Nonsense, a Logos free-for-all. [:O]
I think we can safely put this one under 'ideas that won't see the light of day.' [;)]

I don't think anyone would deny that Jeremy has a great wish list, some people know how to really dream big!
I have both Lenski and Lange in different formats, I think it is about time Logos lowers the price on these sets, at least one of them is a public domain set that would be very helpful to most people. At the current prices these set cost more that copyrighted sets like Tyndale and Expositor's.
Let's see them come down in price and stay down.
In Christ,
Jim

Well since we are dreaming...how about a Logos credit on new resources that is equal to 10% or 15% of our previous 12 months of purchases directly from Logos??? Those who spent big would have bigger credits. Put a time limit on the use of the credit. I know I already have a large wishlist that wouldn't be difficult to pick from. Or give us the credit to use for up to 75% off the purchase price of resources (meaning here that if we decided on some resources, we would still have to cover at least 25% or more of the sale price and use our credit toward the remaining 75%). This might even be something Logos could do without going broke, but it might make their sales department and phone lines get swamped!
Now that would be a very merry Christmas for me![:D]
I will appreciate whatever Logos decides to do...they have really given us some great resources at prices that I have appreciated...especially through PrePubs!
Thank you Logos!

Ariel Ministries Messianic Collection would be a wonderful addition to Logos.

I would love to see more on spiritual warfare by authors such as Neil Anderson and Timothy Wanrer as well as Eddie and Alice Smith.

Well, the first thing I'd do would be to upgrade to Portfolio followed by quick purchases of NICOT/NICNT, ICC, Hermeneia, Anchor Yale, Barth's Dogmatics, Calvin 500, and the Göttingen Septuagint.

Not much the way the circuits would be over loaded. The whole system would crash.

Is that really your son?
0 -
Yes, that is my son, I coached pro mountain bike racers and trials riders until I was riding with Jeremy one day in a parking lot at a huge event, a truck backed up without looking, I can hardly walk since then.
But yes, he is my son and as you can see he is a real dreamer too! He just recently got back from doing a 25 city tour in five weeks! If you want to see more of him go to youtube and search for his name Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, his video clips have over a million views altogether. America's Got Talent started putting them up in June and put the last one up in Sept.

How about one day where all resources are priced back to their prepub price? This would be especially helpful for newer customers that missed some of the better pricing on resources.

What an incredible video!!! *smile* What courage your son displayed! Indeed!
I imagine that some of that courage came from his proud Papa, eh???
Ended up after the video was over saying a few words of prayer for both you and your son and your family ... ........ In Jesus' Holy Name!
Thank you for sharing! *smile*

Great suggestion, John. Not sure it is practical for Logos, but would be great for us. Would love to see it.
