As Melissa pointed out in an earlier post:

There was a large resource download included with one of the 4.2 betas, so if you update from 4.1 to 4.2, you will get this download. Details about the size of the download and the updated resources can be found here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/25608.aspx.

The files are the same for Windows and Mac, they just count the number of bytes in a Megabyte differently.

Title Filename Version Size (MB), Windows Size (MB), Mac
Byzantine/Majority Textform Greek New Testament BYZ.logos4 2010-10-08T15:51:20Z 1.11 1.16
Nestle Aland 26th Edition Greek New Testament Morphological Edition NA26.logos4 2010-10-12T18:28:15Z 6.61 6.93
Nestle Aland 26th Edition Greek New Testament with McReynolds English Interlinear NA26INT.logos4 2010-10-12T18:29:53Z 8.27 8.67
Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, 27th Edition, without Morphology NA27GBSNM.logos4 2010-10-12T18:28:55Z 1.55 1.62
Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, 27th Edition, without Morphology NA27NM.logos4 2010-10-12T18:27:57Z 2.17 2.28
1881 Westcott-Hort Greek New Testament WESTCOTT.logos4 2010-10-08T17:01:22Z 1.12 1.17

This update enables these resources to work with the Greek Audio New Testament.

Indexing details: all of these resources are Greek Bibles so this update will require your Bible index to be rebuilt.

Technical details:

  • Some of these resources were rebuilt to use a specific Greek Bible data type (BibleNA27, BibleBYZ), which provides greater accuracy linking with other Bibles and when using the Greek Audio New Testament with the Read Aloud feature.
  • In Byzantine/Majority Textform Greek New Testament, the text for Romans 16:25–27 was moved to Romans 14:24–26. This is where it is in the print edition. The old resource placed the text where the KJV includes those verses, and used the KJV numbering.
  • Other issues were corrected that could cause the Read Aloud feature to loop over the same verse instead of advancing to the next one.

I am trying to figure out if I have some resources that have been updated...

I have The New Testament in the Original Greek: Byzantine Textform 2005, BYZPRSD.logos4, 2010-07-23T18:39:01Z. Is Byzantine/Majority Textform Greek New Testament BYZ.logos4  from above newer? Is this the resource on the logos site? http://www.logos.com/product/136/byzantine-majority-textform-greek-20

What is the difference between NA27GBSNM.logos4 and NA27NM.logos4 (I have the latter)?

If you have version 4.2 then you should be able to see recent updates  in the "Last Updated" column of Library (right click if necessary to get the column). But if you just updated to 4.2 I think everything will have the same date!

I got the NA26 update yesterday but that is all. Update Now and closing and reopening do not trigger a download (Yes I am on 4.2).

I don't have the Greek Audio New Testament, so the update wouldn't seem to affect me. Should or shouldn't I have the other updates? Does everyone with 4,2 have them?

According to my log files, I only received this today: Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, 27th Edition, without Morphology (LLS:1.0.316):

    2010-12-07 08:21:03.8125    6    Info    ResourceManager    Found new/updated resource 'LLS:1.0.316' version 2010-10-12T18:27:57Z at 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\4asxrlsf.kyr\ResourceManager\Downloaded\LLS_1.0.316\NA27NM.logos4'.

It is the only resource I own from that list that isn't hidden. It indexed it, too, but, curiously, it does not show an updated date in the library:

Thanks, Todd. I did some additional checking. I have the NA27NM and it is also updated, but like you my Last Updated column does not supply a date.

I don't have the NA27GBSNM which I have discovered only comes with SESB, so scratch that one.

I have a couple of Byzantine text form sources but not the one listed.

I also have some Westcott-Hort resources bujt not the one indicated.

So with the one missing the updated date in Library I have all three that were to be updated on my system. Question answered.

OK, I'm a bit confused here. On the one hand you're talking about file sizes for Mac, on the other you're talking about 4.2, which Mac is nowhere near (and you're posting on 'Logos 4', not 'General'). Should Mac users be getting these updates or not? Because I haven't.

    Sorry for the confusion.
The Greek New Testament updates are for Windows and Mac, but the 4.2 update is
only for Windows users. I mentioned it at the beginning of my post just in case
Windows users were seeing a 1 GB update instead of a 20 MB update.

I posted a bug report in PC Beta when I noticed it.
