Hi,
I noticed another side effect.
Assuming my original default voice is NeoSpeech Lily (Chinese voice), and I have my ESV opened.
Next I go change my default voice to NeoSpeech Kate (English voice), when I do a Ctrl+R for Read Aloud, it will still hear my old default "Lily" Chinese voice instead of the new default "Kate" English voice
To overcome that, I would have to closed ESV, and re-open ESV again for it to pick up the new default voice.
Suggestion: (a) I think we should bring back the L3Beta options to select voice within L4. (b) If you are not going to do that, than each time you do Read Aloud, you should check if the default voice has changed.JK

Wow,
I'm glad you saw this too Lim, I was just trying out the feature this morning and started hearing all kinds of strongs greek numbers.
Bug confirmed.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Lim,
Thank you for the list of resources. The WSKJV with Strong's Numbers being read was fixed in Beta 5. Some of the other issues you mention appear to be working correctly in the current version. In Beta 6, it will also do a better job of not reading verse numbers when reading aloud.

2. Bug: when opening the 2nd Bible using "+" Tab ...
Read Aloud failed for the 2nd Bible; most of the Bible I tried including ESV failed; Verse highlighting race through the Chapter.
Melissa,
I noticed that this problem still exists in L4B6. Let me try again.
- From Home page click ESV to open the text. (eg. Mat 16:19)
- Click "+" at the end of the tab -> select NASB95
- Click "+" again at the end of the tab -> select KJV
Now we have 3 Bibles opened, lets try read aloud
- Select ESV text and press Ctrl+R to read text and Ctrl+R to stop reading aloud. So far so good.
- Select NASB95 and press Ctrl+R to read text -> No reading happened, Verse highlighting happened and racing through the Chapter / Book
- The same will happen on the 3rd Open Bible KJV in my case.
- if I repeat the whole process however with NASB95 as the first Bible, followed by ESV as the second Bible followed by KJV as the 3rd the same problem happen to ESV as the second Bible)

I noticed that this problem still exists in L4B6. Let me try again.
I am not able to reproduce this problem. I am opening the ESV, NASB95, and NKJV in same panel and different tabs, as you describe above. I select Matt 16:19 and press Ctrl+R. Stop as you said, and go to NASB--read aloud worked, then to KJV, and it worked. I also tried it without selecting the verse first; just made sure Matt 16:19 was in the reference box.
Are you scrolling down at all when you go to the other Bibles? Scrolling in the book will stop read aloud.
Also, I need to clarify what you mean by "Verse highlighting happened and racing through the Chapter/Book." Are you referring to the Sympathetic Highlighting visual filter?
Thanks,

Melissa,
Good to know that Read Aloud works for you in the scenario I mentioned. I am going to try it later after my indexing is done[:(] ... after downloading NICOT / NICNT ... I got 3375 Resources ... and see if I can capture some log.
OK, the Bible Reference in the Bible Reference Box, visually shows Mat 16:19, follows by the next verse, and so on in rapid succession without reading aloud. I have not started to work on visual filter yet.

Melissa,
I am still having the same problem. First Bible always read OK, second and subsequent Bible does not read, however, highlighting (Circle) of next verse happened rapidly all the way down till I stop reading.
I have Uninstalled from Control Panel, removed the Logos4 folder, re-install L4B6 4.0.3.0831, re-indexed [:(]
Cannot see any relevant items in the Logos4 Log.
PS: When I did the uninstall, I recalled I paused indexing before uninstall; during uninstall, it tells me some fatal error occurs, but, Logos4 disappeared from the Add/Remove panel. Would my install log be of any use? Should I just wait for Beta 7?, Should I re-uninstall and re-index again (took me 2 days!)?

If Beta 6 is already reinstalled, I recommend waiting for the Beta 7 update.

Melissa,
I think I have found what is the problem ...
- All my Neospeech voices: Kate, Paul, Lily, Wang exhibit the problem I reported in this thread. I would appreciate if someone else with Neospeech Voices, please try to confirm. I also noticed Some Scansoft Voices such as Mei-Ling have the same problem too.
- My other voices works without problem: such as ATT DTNV 1.4 Crystal16 & Mike16.
Point here is all these voices works for L3, works with Textaloud, is there a something that is handled differently between L3 and L4.
PS: I did my second clean uninstall and re-install, waiting for the indexing to be completed.

JK, how do you get Neospeech to integrate with L4? Also do you have approx cost of Neospeech?

Kenneth,
Unlike in L3, in L4 there is no interface for you to select voice. L4 uses the default voice in Windows Text-to-Speech Properties. You need to go to control panel in XP, Vista or Windows 7, Text-to-Speech properties to change the default voice.
PS: Neospeech voices, has a problem with L4 when you attempt to read the second book. I find that Windows 7 default voice Anna is really excellent with L4, ATT Crystal works well with L4 too.
Sorry, last few days did not read the Beta Forum ...
