FYI Resource prioritization is still in the works

Will we know when your planned functionality has been fully implemented?

Thanks George. I was getting worried; it is very difficult to use (I might be biased because I loved the way v3 did it)

In my case, I have the SESB Hebrew OT and Greek OT, which are serially connected, set at number 2.

Maybe I missed the change somewhere but the SESB Hebrew OT and Greek NT don't appear as seriall connected resources anymore.  Is this correct ?

It was there and now it's not.

    Changed after B6

I am with you also.  I am completely lost. V3 allowed a simple parallel association to be set up.  This dumb old country boy is really struggling with V4.  The searches are a bit quicker but I am having trouble still with collections, parallel assoc. and a lot more.  I am not a computer person so I don't understand a lot of the discussions.  Maybe the final version will be more intuitive, but fo now, I am pretty much lost in Dixie.

Its suppossed to make things simpler but too many eggs have been put in the one basket and  this really concerns me about prioritization...but its clearly not made things simpler..if anything they are now more confusing ..its an issue across the spectrum of L3 users from enter passage and click go to power users.

I've been doing up an updated Things I'd Love to See and was playing round with v3's parallel associations. It is so much easier to use the right and left arrow keys to move through bibles. And I love the drop down parallel resources box:

I'll chime back in on this one. We can move through prioritized Bibles with arrow keys in L4 but the list doesn't continually cycle. We have to click in reverse once we get to the end (at least as far as I've been willing to page through them). In addition, the list is not user-defined as far as I can tell so it goes through Bibles I simply don't want to consult. We can use the + key in the tab area and it brings up parallel resources we can select from. So, much of what we had in L3 is there.

But I am still not convinced this whole prioritization and 'parallel' resource approach is as it should be. It does not seem like a step forward, but a step backward. I believe that the unhappiness about this is not going to go away.

Apologies to the designers who have 'a dog in the hunt' as they say down south, but many of us think you made a design mistake. I hope you'll listen to what has been said many times in this forum. Up to now it seems you've tried to convince us that nothing is wrong. However, your Beta testers know both Logos products and can see when one is weaker than the other.

I know you did this because of some study or statistics you rely on. I'm afraid when 4.0 is released there will be more complaining and a load of support calls generated by this change. I don't think this is going to turn out as you planned. Please do something to restore some of the control over parallel resources we have in L3 and make setting up (and excluding) the prioritized resources simpler. Or just import what we already have set up in L3 and make us very happy. [:D]

    Thank you.

We can too. Mine takes so long to change that I keep pressing other keys and couldn't work out in the end which key combination worked.

the list is not user-defined as far as I can tell so it goes through Bibles I simply don't want to consult.

It appears to be based on prioritised bibles and then begins from "A"

We can use the + key in the tab area and it brings up parallel resources we can select from

Which is good in and of itself (though the left side of the new tab is absurd). But what if we want to work in the same tab.

Please do something to restore some of the control over parallel resources we have in L3 and make setting up (and excluding) the prioritized resources simpler.

    Pretty please.

Prioritization has side-effects that Logos are regarding as defects in resources and I don't think this can be good as some resources may be neutered of their Index capability http://community.logos.com/forums/t/2270.aspx?PageIndex=2

Parallel resources implementation is another side-effect of Prioritization.
