SUGG: Change presentation of Commentaries in PG
Currently, I can't tell which commentaries are which in the Passage Guide....
Could you please use either our Abbreviated Titles or provide us with a hover of the resource information as in the Library:

Great Suggestion! One of the best I've read all day. This is a very much needed suggestion. I've been annoyed by this, and both of these suggestions are perfect!

More clear titles would be a very welcome change. I have multiple commentaries show up as simply "A Commentary on ..." etc. On my netbook it takes a while to open the commentary when I click, so it would be great to not have to just guess and check until I find the desired commentary.

- Open your Library
- Select a book
- Select the tiny pencil to edit the title (not just the short name).
- Edit the title as you wish. See in the example I've added ICC:
- Note that the passage guide now shows your modified title. [:D]
Now if only we could mass edit the titles!

Yeah, I thought about that, but I can't envision how it would be done. Search and Replace? Regular Expressions? [:O]

This is a very good suggestion. The work-around is nice to know for those willing to put in all the time, but I think the initial suggestion is an excellent one.

Thomas, that's NOT a fix. That's a work around. I don't have the time (OK the inclination) to modify all the titles as well as the abbreviated ones.
Now if only we could mass edit the titles!

Great thread. I forgot it by the time I wrote that other post about tab titles, but before I got focussed on the tab titles, I was thinking of this list too.

Point taken.
Since the system recognizes NAC and WBC and NICOT for instance, it should be easy from the programmers side to inject whatever variable that is into the passage guide. (note that I say easy as a non-programmer, and thus truly clueless as to it's ease or lack thereof.)

This is one instance where I disagree with you Thomas. It's not the soution just a workaround. I hoping the great download of meta data will fix these sort of things...

Thanks, Thomas. I wasn't aware that that would fix this. I appreciate it. I'll get to work on my favorite commentaries doing some renames. I'm glad you hang around here.
