Resources not available
This last weekend I reformatted my desktop and only installed v. 4. The initial download of resources was like 3.9GB. I just went into to read Wallace's grammar, and it's not there. So I thought "hey, it must not be prepared for v.4, maybe I need v. 3 and then v. 4 will show it." (by the way, Wallace does come up in v. 4 on my laptop).
Anyway, I just installed version 3, put in the license and all the books and can read Wallace in v.3, but still not in v.4. How long do I need to wait? Is this an issue with installing v. 4 first?

Sounds like Wallace is not (yet) on the downloaded resources list. It probably hasn't yet been optimized/recompiled for L4. Until then you'll have to type this in the command bar:
scan c:\pathto\wallace\file
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Yes, but it isn't necessary to install v3 as the resources can be accessed via a scan command:-
scan <resources from laptop> --> use network drive or make them local.
Close & open L4
Next time, you could consider a re-install without downloading GB of data http://community.logos.com/forums/p/2639/19878.aspx#19878
