Highlighters
The highlighters are great and I don't mean to be picky, but is there a way to include the following from L3:
On Fire, Orange Outline, Yellow Glow
Thanks for all you are doing.

Yes I agree. I liked the glowing styles. Hopefully everything from LDLS 3 highlighting will be in L4, including customizable styles.

Yes please these are really great highlighters, and would rate amongst my top 5. Also are the Precept style markups and custom markups coming back ?

I especially like the 'On Fire' option - I use it to make particularly important points for me to stand out.
Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

..but can we create our own and more importantly port across those we have already made in L3 or is this another case of data loss due to a version upgrade ?
Sorry Thomas...this is my issue. markings and notes should not be lost during upgrades. It certainly gives me a diminishing trust in digital resources. I don't know why but I'm just not as concerned about the whole license backup issues and things of that nature. I believe that will be something that is worked out over time...maybe Andrew will organize a pitch-fork campaign for BibleTech 2010 [:)] but this is the first Logos upgrade I've participated in. I know looking forward that if the ability to port notes and markings is not accomplished within the first year, even half year, the value for Logos to do so diminishes rapidly over time and after two years it certainly wouldn't make sense to do. However my trust in digital resources will be diminished. When I purchase a paper book, sure it could burn and sure I could loss all my notes, but at least that loss is not based upon the profitability of a company. Logos will only continue to provide the current functionality of its resources in future versions if that functionality ultimately results in financial profitability. I don't blame Logos, they have to think this way and I hope they continue to think this way to a degree. But it doesn't help my trust int he product.
Sorry to ramble on that one. I'm in a very un-concentrated mode this morning.

Not at all, if I didn't like Logos as a company I wouldn't still be here after all these years...that's doesn't mean I have to agree with everything they do and some days I'll express that fact, lots of others I don't ...but then you don't know about those days or issues because I havn't said anything.
On the days and issues I do expresse myself, I just don't get it why there are always some who come out of the woodwork and act like its their moral duty to defend Logos and repel anyone or thing that says something they don't like. We are all enttitled to an opinion. If there is something I've totally misunderstood by all means show me what I've missed, if you don't agree then fine, express what you think, but you can do that without attacking the other person.
Philip I appreciate you were not doing that .... I just a bit perplexed at moment by the attitude of some, this is a beta after all, there is going to be loads of opinions, desires, wants, disapppoints, frustrations and within the beta forum is the place to express them.

regardless I apologize for the joke. After re-reading it it certainly could be taken outside the context of a joke. I have found your comments very helpful over all to the Beta process. Many of the concerns you voice are just not central concerns to me, but they are just as valid as any of my concerns. I hope you continue to voice your concerns with as much vigor as you have because I believe it will result in a better end product.
