When I right click on a Bible Reference, this is what I get:

Just a guess, but I suspect the Catholic Lectionary is the USA's Bishops Lectionary, so the verses are according to their official version - the NAB.

The Gospel is not ... a "new law," on the contrary, ... a "new life." - William Julius Mann

    Kenneth,

It is the US Bishops' one. But the choice of Lectionary text (i.e. Bible Version/Translation) is separate from the actual pericope. The pericope choices are universal.

The verse references in the lectionary use the NAB versification scheme; they will be converted to the NJB versification scheme when opened in your preferred Bible. There are some minor differences, e.g.: 1 Sam 12:24 in NJB is 1 Sam 12:24–25 in NAB; Ps 3:1 in NJB is Ps 3:2 in NAB.

Thanks Bradley. That explains it - and some other things. I couldn't work out why searches sent from the right click context menu included the Bible abbreviation.
