Small requests before general release of Logos 4

May I request that these two changes be made before General Availability?

1. Information window -- display full text (just like in the Power Lookup window) instead of abbreviated text followed by ellipsis (...)

2. Enabling multiple-column view in Reading View (newspaper style, 2-4 columns, just like on the Home Page) will make it so much more useful, especially on wide monitors.

Thanks!

Peter

    I agree.

Yesterday's blog entry had a link to a manual Prof. Bosma had created and was available for preview and purchase at www.scribd.com. The fullscreen "book-mode" layout is really nice. It shows two pages. It keeps the page width nice, even with a widescreen monitor and turning the pages is a nice effect. However, the text is too small due to the real estate taken up by other things, but the idea is good.

    Regards,

    Clinton

Unfortunately that's a bit of work. The Home Page uses a Microsoft control which does multiple column display. It only works for small text portions, though, and slows down the longer things get. Our books are "infinitely scrollable" (or pageable, in this case), and need to go through our own display engine, for a variety of reasons. (Interlinear runs, among them.) We're working on adding multi-column support -- which will also enable printing! -- but it'll be after the first release of Logos 4.

    No problem here!   *smile*

It's nice to have something to look forward to.  I'm sure the multi-column support, etc. is coming.  Thank you!
