indexing old files
I just installed logos 4 into a new laptop and wanted to incorporate books that had been purchased and unlocked in my old laptop (libronix system) did the scan command pointing to the folder where the files were contained and when I restarted logos 4 it did its reindexing thing but when I went to access the ibrary still could not find any of my old books. anyone know what I need to do?

Open Libronix and do a Tools>Library Management>Synchronize licenses. Wait 5 or so minutes, restart Logos 4, execute the scan c:\path\to\libronix books (whatever the valid path is, you'll know because the drop down list will show the tools category with the scan command and the path you typed in it. After you execute the command restart Logos 4 again.
Check your library for your books.
If these steps don't work you might need to contact Customer Service to have them look at your license file to make certain it's all in order so that Logos 4 knows which books you own. Keep in mind that no PBBs work in L4.

Not to worry. In L4 you don't need a library management system. There are library organization tools called "Collections" but downloads and licenses are handled automatically. Manual intervention, when needed (which is rarely) is handled through the command box. If you use the same account that you did for L3 and you synchronized licenses in L3, L4 should pick up nearly all resources automatically. "Nearly all" because there have been some minor glitches with 3rd party software and PBB are currently excluded. If L4 still isn't finding the resources to load and index (which takes some time) look at the scan command in the wiki for the next solution.
