Logos 4.0b SR-4 (4.10.4.9457) - NIV2011???

According to the Logos 4.0b SR-4 (4.10.4.9457) service release notes, "NIV2011 will index correctly. If you had previously hidden the resource,
unhiding it and restarting Logos 4 will redownload the book file
and index it successfully." However, on my system, updating to SR-4 deleted NIV2011 from my resource folder and did NOT download an updated book file.
At first I thought it was a fluke, so I booted from a clone drive and started Logos 4 from there. NIV2011 was still in the resource folder and still listed under "Hidden Resources." I then installed the update. After L4 restarted, I found that NIV2011 was no longer in the resource folder. Interesting thing is that I also no longer have this resource in L4 Windows, where it was working fine (at least the last time I opened it).
Anyone else?
EDIT: NIV2011 missing from L4 Windows is unrelated to this update as I see that it is not in the Windows resource folder (on a backup clone drive) at least 24 hours prior to latest Mac update.

Well I was one of the lucky ones until this morning. My system seemed to work just fine with the NIV2011. Which I was using yesterday. Today it has been removed from my library and the short cut on the tool bar reduced to a useless red blob.
Please may I have it back - it is rather disconcerting?

On one stable configuration, had ignored NIV2011.logos4 crashing indexer - automatic update succeeded, then indexed NIV2011 - now to merge indexes.
On workaround configuration (moving file) => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/28667/212131.aspx#212131 after Logos 4.0b SR-4 installed, indexing did not happen automatically - used Rebuild Bible index command - now able to search NIV (2011 version).

Is NIV2011 a resource that you have to purchase or is it an upgrade from the 1984 version? I don't see it in my library and wasn't sure if I should see it. Is it included in the Premium Logos Products?

Forum has KF Base Package information => http://community.logos.com/forums/t/28219.aspx - free crossgrade from LE includes NIV 2011.

When we discovered the issuses with 4.0b on Mac and NIV2011 we changed the publishing metadata to require 4.2 or later. We forgot to change it back to be available on 4.0b SR-4 yesterday. Once that gets fixed we'll post in the forums that it's available.

I inspected my Time Machine archives for NIV2011. The first record of NIV2011 in my resource folder is 1/12 (the evening I cross-graded to KF and downloaded). It was still there on 1/13. I didn't do a backup on 1/14. On 1/15, it is missing from TM. On the Windows side, I noticed that my book count had decreased by one on 1/17 but didn't realize until last night it was the NIV2011.
I restored NIV2011 from my 1/12 archive, but L4 does not recognize it. I still have the two Books of Common Prayer that came with the KF cross-grade, so I guess that somewhere between 1/13 and 1/15, my L4 was updated not to include the NIV2011 and it was deleted from my resource folder. Nevertheless, it was still listed as a "Hidden Resource" until I ran the SR-4 update.

I was enjoying reading the NIV2011. I will be glad when the file is repaired and made available again... looking forward to it.

The 2011 NIV has now been published for 4.0b SR-4 users.

And how do you obtain it again? It is not showing up still.
Thank you.

@ Bradley - thanks for the update. New NIV2011 had been downloaded and now is indexing.
@ KGB - as soon as I launched L4, NIV2011 started to download. You may try running "Update Now" from the command line, if you haven't already.

Thank you brother, but I tried it all and it doesn't show up yet. I don't use NIV at all, I just wanted to see it, so it is really not a big deal. Thank you gain.

The 2011 NIV is a free upgrade for all owners of Logos 4 base packages, but you have to request it from our website. See http://community.logos.com/forums/t/28219.aspx for how to get it.

Thank you Bradley,
Would you know, perchance, why I am having difficulty adding the new version to my shortcuts bar?
The original download that disappeared yesterday used to have a shortcut. When the resource disappeared it left a red blob on the shortcut bar which I deleted.
The replacement which appeared this morning (Logos Bible Software 4.0b SR-4 (4.10.4.9457) will not install a shortcut by either dragging a tab or directly from the library.

This thread has me really confused. The NIV 2011 is a free upgrade? I don't have it. What I did notice was that my NIV now says NIV 1984, whereas before it was just NIV. I tried the "Update Now" command to no avail. Is my only option to rebuild the index?

Follow the link in Bradley's thread above, for a link to get the upgrade.
If you've already done that, you may need to close Logos4 and reopen for Logos to know that you're missing the NIV2011. (Update Now does not always work for me, at least, when getting new resources.)
You should not have to rebuild your index, and doing so wouldn't solve this issue.

I had to get the free Upgrade from (LE) to (KF) versions. Once I did this, the free NIV2011 loaded. Before this, the update feature was not bringing in this new resource. To get the free upgrade: Logged into Logos.com, I went to the products page looking for info on NIV2011. On that page, I saw that my product had a FREE upgrade, so I 'purchased it' at zero cost and then followed the download steps. I would have thought this would have come through automatically, with the Update feature in the application but it didn't.

Back in the days when NIV2011 caused crashes I hid it, and then forgot about it. A couple of days ago I happened to have reason to look at Hidden Resources, noticed it and unhid it. The day after I happened to have reason to type publisher:zondervan in the Library, and realized that it hadn't downloaded. Restarts and Update commands don't help, and it is gone from Hidden Resources. Any suggestions?

I have to say that the Free NIV update issue has left a bad taste in mouth. I have the NIV84 because it came with the Logos package I purchased in about 1995. I've purchase books and updated over the years but since I now have L4 Original Languages, and NIV84 was not part of that, I didn't get the free NIV11. I've purchased NIV, I just haven't purchase the latest package that contains it. From a quick read of the blog post when it came out, I was expecting I'd get the update, so I did the crossgrade from LE to KF, but didn't get the NIV11.
And now that I read about the KF Base package forum, I see that it says (first post):
There are two items of good news for all existing LE package owners:
- It’s a free crossgrade from your LE package to
its KF replacement, which essentially means that owners of Bible Study Library
and higher get a free copy of the new 2011 NIV. Depending on your base package
level, you may also get some additional titles as indicated above.
But that is not true in the case of L4 Original Language. Original Language is higher than Bible Study Library but didn't get the upgrade. Am I missing something?Ross

Wonder if 2011 NIV still missing ? If so, wonder about upgrading to Logos 4.2a Release Candidate (RC) 1 => http://community.logos.com/forums/t/30236.aspx
Observation: had to restart Logos 4.2a RC 1 several times to upgrade on 1 computer - resource download stopped indexing, but indexing did not resume after resources finished downloading => http://community.logos.com/forums/t/30422.aspx

Thanks. I did call yesterday and I was eventually able to explain the situation but they could not do anything and I was directed to post to the forums.
I am running 4.2a rc1, and just restarted again. Nothing.

Apologies Logos could not authorize NIV 2011 in light of misleading statement. Logos does have a personalized upgrade page => http://www.logos.com/upgrade - still have option to upgrade to Scholar's or higher package, which would include NIV 2011 along with more resources (personally appreciate United Bible Society's Handbooks in Gold along with A.T. Robertson's Greek Grammar in Platinum and A.T. Robertson's Word Pictures in Scholar's).

Thank you. I purchased UBS many years ago, along with other resources, so there is little value for me to upgrade to a higher base package.

May be worth discussing upgrade discount to Scholar's Gold with Logos - comparing retail prices shows $ 965 difference (UBS NT and OT retails for $ 799)

Wonder if 2011 NIV still missing ?
Thanks for noticing my old post. Yes, it was still missing when you wrote, but it turned up tonight with the upgrade. Now I'm just missing one or two of the Christmas titles, but I'll e-mail CS about that some day.
