PG Navigation - Need Functional Navigation Keys

I'm mostly liking L4, but I"m having a hard time relying solely on my mouse to navigate around the Passage Guide.

We need for Page Up/Down, Up/Down Arrow, & L/R Arrow keys (if appropriate) to be operational. Otherwise, we're limited to the mouse for getting around.

In concept, that may not sound so bad. But in practice, here's what happened in trying to do my research for next week (Hebrews 7:23-28).

  1. Run PG on Heb 7:23-28.
  2. Close the sections I won't be using. (this involves several trips back & forth to the mouse, since I keep trying hopefully to use the arrow / page up/down keys as in V3), & not all sections will fit in the small screen area that I've allocated.
  3. Alternate between "More" button & scroll bars until all material in Commentaries & Sermoncentral are displayed. (PLEASE give us an option to selectively request ALL the material in desired sections?)
  4. Laboriously navigate multiple pages with the scroll bar instead of page up/down. This is unfriendly to those of us with RSI in our mouse hands (I have RSI in both wrists!) Instead of a single click, I have to hold the mouse button down every single time I want to scroll up or down.

Please let us know that SOMETHING is in the works to address navigation in the reports!

Thanks so much for all you folks do for us.

Grace & Peace,
Bill

    Bill,

Not exactly on point. But, have you set up a "My Passage Guide"? This at least saves me closing the sections which I never use.

    Thanks for the response, Damian.

No, I haven't... I mostly missed 2 weeks of posts (skimmed only, after the fact) & all the betas between 5 & 9 while moving / changing jobs...

    How do I do that?

    Thanks again,

    Bill

    Grace & Peace,

When you set up a custom Passage Guide (or Exegetical Guide or Bible Word Study) called My Passage Guide, it will over-ride the default Passage Guide and will always appear in the right click context menu.

Of Course, you can set up as many custom Passage Guides as you want - you could have one called Sermon Prep which you run just for this task with only the sections you need for this:

    1) Select Guides - Make A New Guide Template

    2) Name your Guide:

    3) Select Either to Begin with all the Passage Guide Elements or add just the Elements you want

    4) If you start with all sections from the Passage guide, it's a simple matter of removing what you don't want:

You can then add sections from the Exegetical Guide if you want:

    5) When finished just close and it is available from the Guides Menu:

    6) Open and Run

    7) Remember, the Passage Guides now "remember" the last state. If you collapse a section after use, it will not be run next time unless you open it.
