    10 days?

Haha that makes sense! I thought it was 10 hours....but that sounds a little too soon ya think?

If they know when they are able to release it, that means Apple has already approved it.  I don't know why they would wait another 10 days if it's already been approved.  It isn't like they could do any updates to the program, since they would have to go through the Apple approval process to update the program.

What purpose would delaying the release of a finished product serve?  I am hoping/thinking that it might be 10 hours when it first appears in the app store.  We'll see though.

tsk tsk. you are all off track.  they just signed Bo Derek to their tech team.  can't believe you are all jumping to such wild conclusions . . .

    I like Apples.  Especially Honeycrisp.

hehehe..Sure they didn't hire Monk? I hear he likes the number 10.

Let's see, Nasa just launched  is trying to launch another rocket this morning.  Their countdowns famously begin with 10....

It's a countdown.  But to what?  Let the wild speculation flow.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I'm really disappointed in all of you. It's clearly a message in binary. You are fixated on the number 10 but it's the binary numeral 10 which has a decimal value of 2. It would be very odd to begin a countdown with '2' so this is most likely something else. My guess? It's an affirmation of Logos' commitment to the customer. Logos is 1 company and I am 1 customer but together we are 2 and without the customer Logos is nothing. Thus Logos is 2.

Hey, Chris, you must be whether a philosopher or a theologian. To say simple thing like 10 in such a complicated way. [:)]

It cannot mean that it's 10 days until Apple approves the app... there's no way for a developer to know this (some developers wait a month or more with no information on their app's approval process - it's all up to Apple). Also, if it was available now (already approved by Apple) you would find it in the app store, the developer cannot hold it up and release it when they want... that's part of the problem with the app store approval process.

However, that said, I don't even think it's an iPhone app.... my guess is that it's a mobile website.

I would guess that http://m.logos.com is going to be the site you go to on your mobile device. and that might be launching in 10 days? This way you are not downloading any content to your device... it stays on their servers... your just viewing it in a mobile framework. Not saying that is good or bad.. just what I assume this will be.

    Logos in space.  Cool!

    Now its 9...

So we are talking about days.

Maybe a new version of Logos?  I know Mobile Logos has been sent to Apple's App Store.  But do they have control over when it actually releases?

    all about Christ,

    David Buckham

    all about Christ,

    David Buckham

Maybe they cracked the Bible Code and know when Jesus is coming back...[:D]

But the posts are only separated by 15 hours, not 24.

Now is this an exercise in speculative theology, or just an exercise for speculative theologians?

    Just asking.

Mr. Black is right.  The curiosity and anticipation this thread represents is exactly why it would not be surprising for logos to delay the launch of their mobile app.

it is other than that . . . or more than that . . . because the countdown is not yet finished.

    I like Apples.  Especially Honeycrisp.

someone maybe right . . . that "4" could be THE number . . . that is perhaps why the 'countdown' seems to be irregular (or not following 24 hour periods.  We might be on target for "4" tomorrow . . .

Ahh, the speculation is fun: "get away from me kids, I don't care about family time, it's COUNTDOWN WITH LOGOS time!!"

Looks like "5" got posted about 2 hours ago, I would bet that the mysterious "4" will come at Monday 12:01 AM PST...

Does anyone recall how the last upgrade was worked by Logos?  It's been awhile and I forget exactly what happened.  If I recall, since I was upgrading to a better bundled package, I had to pay a small fee (minus any resources I had already obtained that would be duplicates).  After that, was the upgraded engine itself a free download or DVD?

Also, I assume that those of us running both Windows and Mac versions currently might have to upgrade both engines (hopefully not at twice the expense  [:)]).

Last time, when we went from 2 to 3, all the boxed sets were upgraded and a new boxed set was added. At 2, the top boxed set was "Silver." With 3 it was "Gold." In addition all current boxed sets got an upgrade, with additional resources and functionality. Logos distinguishes and upgrade from an update. Updates are free, upgrades are not.

The time Logos 3 (AKA Libronix) went live, was, without question, the ideal time to upgrade to the new version of the same level boxed set, or to the next level up.

Logos has not charged for the engine itself, so far, but they have charged for addins, as well as resources (of course).

I'm not aware that Logos has said anything official, to users who may wish to run both a Windows and Mac version of their software.

I can see it now: Logos Platinum, with all the Zondervan resources bundled in . . . lol.

Seems to me like everyone's waiting for the second coming - a new millenium.  Oops its the 1st coming for phones and the 4th coming for PC's - rounded down to the even number.

Somewhere on another thread "Putonium" [:P] was mentioned.
If Platinum has all the Zondervan titles, Plutonium should have "Yale Anchor everything".
And maybe Logos Krypton will have the ICC set on top of that. (It is green, you know)

Is it possible Logos is inventing new opportunities to covet? Will some of my friends give up Logos for Lent? Where is this leading us?

So they take off the cost of any resources you have purchased already for the upgrade? Did this work fine?

How much did they charge last time for the upgrades?

Did they add a lot of new resources to each tier?
