Reference browser
I haven't noted a reference browser or equivalent. I have found this to be quite valuable in 3.0. Is there a plan to include one in 4.0? I can fairly easily do without the topic browser, but the reference browser is a virtual "must."

Isn't this accomplished by doing a basic search for a reference? I believe it does the same thing.

The reference browser replacement is the Cited By tool. You just need to be in the location you're searching for references to and you can limit it to any range of resources of your choice. It should do most of the things the Reference Browser did.

I'm no expert on the Reference Browser or on special searching in L4, but in the Reference Browser you can search for loads of different defined types of references (Louw-Nida numbers, for example). Perhaps there is/will be a way to do this in basic searching but it requires/will require knowing the correct syntax I'd assume. The Reference Browser eliminates the need to know this. Just use the drop-down menu.
Search is totally broken in my RC1 installation so I can't check this out. I'm downloading the new resources and maybe the Help File will provide more information of whether Basic search can fully replace the Reference Browser.
Whether George needs it or not, topical searching and the Topic Browser is a seriously absent feature in L4.

The Cited By tool does not do all the Reference Browser does. I don't have time to produce many examples, so I may have just found one bad example totally by chance. Here it is. I have the same Greek lexicons in my L3 and L4 collections, even though I've given the collections different names as you'll see below.
Using the Reference browser for Louw-Nida 28.54 (chosen at random), I get the following:
Cited By produces the following:
Cited By does not find the last reference in the L3 results (to the Theological Lexicon of the NT). That's a minus.
You'll notice other differences: the number of hits in each resource and where the hits take you. Cited By simply doesn't seem to get to the same results that Reference Browser does. I don't understand the differences, nor which is the better set of results, but it seems significant that Cited By isn't doing the same thing as the Reference Browser.
I hope this can be studied further and a good decision made about providing a tool that is the equivalent of what we have in 3.0 (for Topic Browsing as well). It isn't heartening to hear that an upgrade gives us "most" of the things the older version gives.

Good eyes. Don't know how that happened. Anyway here are the results for the same number as in 3.0:
The Theological Lexicon of the NT has no hits as previously. The other hits are better aligned now (as they ought to be). Makes it better than before (and less confusing, of course), but it is still less than the Reference Browser. Whatever the issue is needs to be addressed for these to be equivalent tools.

My issue with Cited By is the inadequate linking to bible references:-
1. the actual reference in UBS4 & LGNTI is Acts 1:24**
2. the Opentext reference goes to John 21:25
3. the link is to the chapter, making it difficult to find especially in the non-interlinear UBS4.
Compare with:
I can go direct to the correct reference by clicking on the word even if the wrong reference is in the header!
** might be a problem with the resources as I haven't downloaded any with RC2.

Have you compared the results using Reference Browser in 3.0? Just be interested.
Here part of the issue is similar to the one between the Reference Browser and Cited By. For some reason Cited By does not find all the results either a search or the Reference Browser uncovers. AFAIC more reasons to investigate this further on Logos' end and see what can be done.
It is also nice with search results to have the exact word highlighted. That would be nice in Cited By.

There was no difference with my examples. But Logos need to fix these issues for RC3 in my opinion!
