Feature Request: Drag tabs to open in separate window
I can drag tabs to different spots in the program, that's great. But I wish that dragging a tab out of the main window would automatically open that tab in a separate window.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I've often wanted this as well. Dragging it outside Logos or to the title bar to create a floating window would be great!

You can right click on the Tab which will allow you to open up to a floating window. But, that got me to thinking that it would be nice to add the ability (another selection on the context menu) to open a copy of that resource to a floating window.

I was aware of that, but it just feels natural to drag the tab off and make a new window.

Exactly my point. I've actually attempted this no less than a dozen times before realizing, "Oh yeah, that doesn't work."Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I see. That would be nice....at least we do have a means to accomplish the task (Phil. 4:11) [:D] (I hope your memory is as bad as mine when I voice a "better" workaround and you decide to quote this passage).

I did notice that once you have a floating window you can then drag tabs to that (floating) window.

We actually implemented this in one of the early alphas, but reverted the behaviour (before Beta 1) because we found out later that it introduced a hard-to-work-around bug in some dragging situations (I forget what, exactly). At the time, it was quicker and easier to remove this feature than to solve the new bug it introduced; we'll keep this feature request in mind for a future release.

Thanks Bradley, I'll wait. And hope that it does get accomplished.Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I find it frustrating that I cannot open more than one window with the same Bible version. The limit of 4 windows is also very restrictive. I like the old New Window command that opened another copy of the same Bible, so I can compare 2 or more Bible passages.

This can be done. Hold down the CTRL key while dragging the bible version tab where you want the second window. Or right click on the Bible translation tab and select "Open copy in new tab."
Regarding the limit of 4 windows I just created 6 or 7 with no problem.

Thanks for the tip. Too bad this is not more obvious.
I find it finicky about the size and where the window goes. Often it ends up creating a tab in a window that already exists.

It will do this if the "hot spot" your landing on is in the middle of a pane. If its middle left or middle right you will create a new pane.
