RC2-Books not Downloading
I notice that I am missing close to 400 books from my library. I know some of this is due to a change in how resources are counted. However, I know, for example, that I am missing the 7 volumes of "Words of Light and Life"
Should I report stuff like this so you can post it to the download server, or is it a waste of my time?

I seem to have gone the other way. I hid all the Aramaic targums and my library count dropped by about 60 and now it's back up. Is RC2/3 counting the hidden ones? Or have I been blessed with some of the cross (what was the term for the new resources ??) over??? stuff already?

Whilst Logos assure us that missing/updated L3 resources should be downloaded from RC1 onward I would certainly complain about 400 missing resources, but if you hid 400 that would account for the discrepancy!
As for extra books, see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/2499/19004.aspx#19004 These are the ones I know about prior to RC1 so there may be a few extras (I have the tools to know what resources I have in L3 and what are
"missing" from L4. I also know what resources have been "donated" eg. I
was given a developer-only version of BHS 4.2!).Dave

I didn't make myself clear. On Monday, after getting RC1 I had 830 or so resources, because I had hid all the Targums. Today, after getting RC2 and then RC3, I have 883 resources, with the Targums still hidden. So, I'm wondering if they changed the way they count resources to include hidden resources or if they've started to give us some of the crossgrades -- I know Bob said it would come on release day. Just wondering. 883 is what I had before I hid the Targums. (Although in another post you'll find me asking (whining??) about having had 900+ at one point in the Beta process and wondering why it dropped to 883). So, it is easy to say I'm confused and maybe still not expressing myself well.
Joe's problem is different and I'm not pretending to try to figure that out. I just used his issue as a jumping off point to express mine. Maybe I should have started another post. If so, I'm sorry for muddying the waters. Joe deserves a response/solution/explanation.

Oh dear, we are both having a bad day with posts[:)]
I tried to answer both Q at once:
- Logos are not suddenly counting hidden resources in the RC releases (because I hid 65 Targums & I know why I got one extra resource!)
- Type Targums into the Library Find box to convince yourself they are not available
What I hinted was that Logos haven't given us any tools to resolve these issues - "trust the cloud to keep you up to date", but it'll never tell you what you have and when you acquired it! I have a (file/folder) Sync tool of my own and it tells me exactly what has changed!
I can only advise you to get an evaluation copy of a File Sync program (eg. Beyond Compare) and compare what you have in L3 with L4, AND
keep complaining!

Thanks for your input. I certainly notice that the guys who complain the most get responses, so maybe I should be a little more rude when I post and I would actually get a response. (wait, does that comment count as rude?)
I recognize this is a work in progress, but an official response would be nice.

Thanks for reporting this issue; it sounds like a serious problem and is definitely something we want to fix before the release.
I checked the download server, and those 7 volumes are available; I also confirmed that they should be reported for your account.
To help us track down this problem, please first ensure that logging is turned on (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/2933/22005.aspx#22005). Run Logos 4, and in the command bar, type
update resources
This is an undocumented command that restarts your resource check over again from the beginning. It will take a very long time to run, and displays no progress while it's running (but you can continue using the program). If, after about 15–20 minutes, it hasn't popped up a tip saying that new downloads are available (or started downloading automatically, depending on your preferences), please zip up the log files and attach them here; we'll take a look and see if we can see what's going wrong. If you're prompted to restart Logos 4, please save a copy of the current log files before restarting (in case we need to refer to them).
Edit: What I think happened here is that you were affected by the bug Damian McGrath first reported (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/2289/19251.aspx#19251), since you bought "Words of Light and Life" in LLS 2.x format. We fixed that bug on the server, but that might have occurred after your system already thought it was up-to-date. When the server was fixed, the resources you were missing appeared internally as "old" updates, and were ignored. The "update resources" command should clear all that information out and re-detect them as "new" updates and start the download. (And, if not, the log file should show what's going on.)

I can run the script, but I have no real idea now what books are missing and with no way to compare my lists, I am not sure what to do to really help.
If you receive a download then just compare the numbers. Else the logs will have a story for Logos.
Edit:
You might want to refine your count by performing a Bibliography of unlocked v3 resources, then:
- subtract Help files and PBB++ files,
- subtract any Reverse Interlinears (2xESV + NRSV) you have, but
- add any hidden** resources, and
- add 27 resources that L4 donated
Compare that to the Library count in L4.
++ you could use Explorer to count the *.lbxoeb files, which applies to both Help and PBB
** count them from the Options | Hidden Resources window
