PLEASE VOTE: Comprehensive reworking of NOTES in one or more phases i.e. if you are unhappy with not
Logos has responded to user opinion when it has been unified e.g. search while typing, interlinear format, reading mode. Several of us believe that Notes have not received equal attention because the demand has been spread out over many feature requests rather than a comprehensive view of how notes should work.

I would put all ten of my votes on this...but I'm not at all convinced that L4 is capable of getting from A to B. I'm just hoping that L5 will come out soon and have robust L3+++ capability.

I have added my votes as well. While reviewing where my votes had been allocated, I saw that several of them were spent on other note-related suggestions. Consolidating all the notes related votes may be a good thing provided that we don't get a "completed" generic answer as we did for http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/508503-improve-notes-with-hyperlinking-toc-drag-and-dro?ref=title (even though it included a significant TOC suggestion that was not really implemented).
Still, users might consider moving their votes from http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/613917-please-make-importing-pictures-in-notes-available?ref=title and http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/541911-my-commentary?ref=title to the new thread MJ posted.

It's now up to position #15 out of 329. Wow! Still, I can't believe something like "wish-list on logos.com" is still higher than this when there are other workarounds for that. Let's keep going higher! Most of the 780 votes on PBB can be redeployed now that that is marked as Started and Bob Pritchett said it "should be delivered in the (relatively) near future."
"Please make importing pictures in notes available" (with 367 votes) should be redundant; I would have thought it would have been included in the consensus post, but apparently not. I couldn't find anything about picture, image, or graphic in that post. MJ? Was that idea not raised when you were collecting input? If we could get those 367 votes over to this reworking of notes, it would be up to position #3.

As a person who wants images in my notes, I understand "Note content: • permit at least as much formatting as in L3 which includes tables, illustrations, colored text, underlined text ... " as to include images (illustrations) in our notes.

Yes, my intent was to include all two-dimensional non-verbal forms - graphics, illustrations, drawings, pictures, maps, diagrams, calligraphy, paintings, photographics, charts, mind-maps ... but given the use of "illustration" vis a vis sermons, I probably should have chosen a different term

yeah amazing especially since original plan was that we were not gonna get any note taking in v4.., sadly it was an afterthought rushed in.. and consequently probably the most complained about program component in v4

This kind of huge surge ought to capture Logos's attention...but I'm curious. Has anyone heard anything from Logos that indicates they have acknowledged the massive grassroots attention voiced in regard to this issue? I haven't, but perhaps I've missed their response.

Noticed User Voice Rework notes function - in one or multiple phases is now # 12 (after 2 weeks of voting). Another 99 User votes moves Rework Notes up to # 6.
Also, Feature Parity list of PC features not yet implemented on Mac has Notes # 1:
* PC Notes have more capabilities than Mac, including automatic hyperlinking of scripture in notes and right click to Note item

And it's now in the zone where the items are pretty close together in votes, so 16 more votes to be tied for #9, then another 34 votes to get up to #8, then another 5 votes to get up to #6 (current #6 & #7 are tied). That is a total of 55 votes to move up to #6, where it will almost (on my screen) be on the first screen's worth on the first page.

Well MJ just gave your request three votes because of all the hard work you MVPs put in helping out in the forums. However getting on the first page means nothing as evidenced by the lack of PBB, Sermon File (which is being mangled from it's original state - really website???) and the requests for the ability to choose to not sync personal items and the ability to select what is updated on your system...
Over a year later on the first page and in some of the highest vote getters Logos has not produced and in the privacy out and out refused to address it other than the inconvenience and extra cost in ordering update DVDs and not using Prayer Requests, etc...
Maybe they'll pay attention for all the hard work you guys put in supporting their software, but thus far the front page has meant nothing....

If push comes to shove, Logos is within easy driving distance ... placards or spray paint (washable of course)? I'd think fire under Bob's chair if fire wasn't so destructive ... or a custom built virus for Bob's computer that calls out "Notes, Notes" at random intervals? [H]
