I turned on my Logos 4 and saw on my front page the headline NIVAC sale (new testament).

I clicked on link and saw the price as $382.99  (£235.93).

This is not a sale. I would love to have this resource but this is too expensive.

What did you think of the headline when you saw it?

I was baffled by that too.  I saw the headline and claim it was on sale, but then ran to my wishlist to discover that that is the normal price...nothing special.

disappointing - seems below Logos' normal standard of integrity - or was it just a slipup?

This really has nothing to do with Logos integrity.

I just have to point out that this is a ZONDERVAN resource, and remind everyone that anything less than the full retail price is actually to be appreciated and is indeed a sale (even though they are not offering the discounts that  we like to see).

The majority of Baker titles tend to be at their full retail price even on the Prepub pages also.

The topic of Zondervan and Baker prices have been talked about at length in these forums (I'm sure everyone remembers).

It is the price for having the convenience and searchability of these resources in Logos. I am one that appreciates them being offered, even if it is at a price that is higher than what I would like to see.

In my understanding a sale price is one that is better than the 'regular' price. Since the regular price is 20% below what is considered the retail price, advertising a sale at the regular price is disingenuous. While others may market in any way  they can get away with I do hold Logos to a higher standard. I think the 'advertisement' should be taken down or a genuine 'sale' price be offered.

I agree that Zondervan may not allow a further markdown, so just tell us this is the regular price which is 20% less than retail.

With a tip of my cap to Daffy Duck in the classic WB cartoon "Rabbit Seasoning," what we have here is "preposition trouble."

In the vernacular of the American consumer, an item "on sale" is being offered at a price lower than usually charged by that retailer. In the current instance, Logos' normal price has not changed; hence, this item should not be advertised ad "on sale."

"For sale" would work, would also apply to every resource in the Logos catalog.

Perhaps the Homepage should have a "Spotlight" resource, where the headline's emphasis would be on content rather than price.

My policy makes it simple: I don't buy any Zondervan products...period. No sale? NO SALE. There are thousands of dollars worth of products offered by Logos that I can spend my money on besides Zondervan. I have Baker items, mainly because they were part of my Portfolio purchase. I doubt I will be getting any others.
