List of new resources
How can we determine what new or changed resources were added in an update? It would be really helpful to get s What's New menu option. If we don't know they are there they are lost to us.

this is ongoing, and has been since Beta2, there is no absolute way of doing this to my knowledge

Actually, I really want to be able to select the resources that the update puts on my system. There are many books in the Gold that I will never use and others that I just stick in the DVD for the rare occasion when I want it. I don't want to clutter my laptop with unwanted books. Version 3 does this very nicely. I can choose what I want to put on my hard disk when I install and choose what I want do download when I get an update. I strongly hope this feature will be available in an early update.

I know what you mean. In my ancient laptop with only a 10 GB HD that I still occationally use, I only have a portion of my library on the HD, and usually have the 3.0 DVD in the DVD drive to catch a few more. There are times when it is useful to have only a limited library, but be able to pull in the rest when I want.
However, with Logos 4's whole Library searching and indexing, doing this is more problematic. The closest thing to this that I am aware of is Hiding Resouces. To the best of my knowledge, this is by USER and not machine, so if you want the whole pile on the desktop, you also need the whole pile in the netbook, or if you want to cut back the library on the netbook, then you also cut it back on the desktop.

We're going to look into adding "last modified" dates to resources in the Library view.
Logos 4 is designed for modern systems, and to be much easier to manage. We've decided to take an "all or nothing" approach to resources in light of the size of modern hard drives.
Just by way of example: the least expensive laptop at BestBuy.com right now is $329 and has 2GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive. I'm not suggesting that you go buy a new laptop right now, but moving forward it's clear that 4-10 gigs of hard drive space for Logos won't be crippling users' systems. We felt it was better to put our energy into features that advance Bible study rather than spend a lot of time building (and supporting) user interface to manage hard drive space on systems that probably won't run Logos 4 well now, and are likely to be replaced soon.

Bob that upper figure (4-10) needs to read 4-20, my system is currently using 18.5GB

I don't think you can make this assumption on laptops
and netbooks. I have too many applications that make this assumption
and I had to delete a lot of stuff to make room for Logos 4.If resources are deleted from the hard drive will the automatic update add them back in?
