Powerpoint in Proclaim

Is there a way to import a Powerpoint presentation into my Proclaim schedule?

David,
Not that I know of. On Sunday we had to quickly do just that. I saved the Powerpoint presentation as graphic files and inserted the graphics into Proclaim. Fortunately it was only 15 slides as each one had to be uploaded individually. The whole process took less than 5 minutes--but I'd love to see a faster/more elegant solution.
Peace & Blessings,

We plan on integrating Power Point presentations into Proclaim in a future release. We are still looking for input on how exactly we are going to do so, and we are gathering customer input here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34232.aspx
Thanks,

I can't believe that Powerpoint is not able to be imported in.
That is a severe shortcoming on Proclaim's part.0 -
Don't forget it is still in Beta

the ability to import Powerpoints is a major requirement ... as in I'm not sure I would even use Proclaim without that ability.

I would have to agree. I am just now investigating using Proclaim, and - knowing how things work at our church - having the ability to import PowerPoint presentations is a must have. Until that feature is provided, I'm not even sure it's wise for me to bring this up.

Our church still sings quite a few hymns. And all of the hymns that we sing are in PowerPoint, via the Paperless Hymnal (http://www.paperlesshymnal.com/), so using Proclaim without the ability to import PowerPoint slides is basically a deal-breaker.

We have been researching Proclaim for use at church and must also echo the necessity to be able to import Powerpoint files easily. This may keep us from implementing it until we can do so.

Not being able to import Powerpoint really has been the decider with us.
Love the cloud and the ability to co-operate as a team, but most of our guys build their preaching presentations within Powerpoint ( and Keynote / Prezi to a lesser extend).
When I mentioned to our Senior Pastor the idea of doing his slides online within a system he was unfamiliar with - he went and bought EasyWorship 2009 [:)]
Also we have visiting ministries who turn up and expect us to be able to slot their presentation into our system.
Sure, we can come out of Proclaim and open Powerpoint, but doesn't that go against the reason d'être for this product?
Will keep watching as I like the idea.

Our church, as well, has explored Proclaim and love its features, but until there is an instant import of powerpoint files, we will not be making the move to Proclaim. EasyWorship, with its faults, will have to do.

We are actively working on PowerPoint import. We're talking weeks not months. Thanks for your patience.

Scott, thanks for all you hard work on getting this PPT import implemented. Currently I can import the slides, but cannot see them when running the iPad remote while "on air".
I am still in trial mode, and this may be the hang up. But I can pull in some of the Logos slideshow templates and they appear live via iPad control.
Blessings

When you import your PowerPoint presentation are you selecting "Upload and sync to my group"?
