NIV 84 and NIV 11
My church uses the NIV 84 version, and would like to use it for my Logos research, but I just upgraded to Logos 4 this Spring and did not get the NIV 84.
Is there anyway to purchase this?
If not, is there any timeline on the Reverse Interlinear for the NIV 2011? I cannot even do Sympathetic Highlighting in the new NIV!

Jerry - In addition to the link that Ted gave you (Thanks Ted - I couldn't find it!) I thought I would fill in a little more info. First, (just to let you know), the NIV84 was pulled from base packages per Zondervan's request:
At Zondervan’s request, we’ve replaced the TNIV and NIV (1984) with the new 2011 NIV. The license is included, and the file is just about finished. It will automatically download as soon as it’s ready.
If you purchase the NIV84, you should be aware that the Reverse Interlinear will not be included, (once again, per Z's request). As far as the NIV2011 RI, we have not been given any time table. Sorry!

Jerry - Copyright laws vary from country to country, but a good rule of thumb is that if you have to break copy protection measures set in place, it would be illegal.

If I already have an e-copy of a book can I make that a personal book in Logos? I mean is that legit?
It depends on the applicable jurisdiction (which may be the place where you live - or else) and in some cases maybe on whether you use this book for private or for business purposes. This is a complex area since copyright laws differ widely and whether something as "fair use" or a right to a "personal copy" or a "backup" is applicable to you. It also depends on the licence arrangement under which you use this other e-copy (and there may be the tricky fact that some clauses of a licence contract or EULA may be invalid for you, your jurisdiction or at all, which may invalidate these clauses, or all of the small print of the contract...). Moreover, in some cases, there are regulations that are interpreted diffently in courts than they read at first sight - and some companies put up very restrictive rules to allow them to go after real copycat businesses, but never intend to sue single users. Others do.
It seems to me that at least if you start sharing the PB or *.docx PB source of a copyrighted book, you are on the wrong side of the line.
On the other hand: creating a PB can be very time consuming, especially if the desired result is the full functionality. You may want to consider this as well in your decision, if $26 is worth it.
Have joy in the Lord!
BTW, I have written to Zondervan asking them to reconsider their policy with Logos about the NIV84 rev int. I suggest others do the same.

Interesting. I had the NIV (84, of course) before the 2011 version was released, and of course had the reverse IL feature. Has Logos now disabled this RIL feature in my version, or if we had it pre-2011, will we always have it?
I won't lose a lot of sleep over it; I've converted almost completely to the ESV, but I'm not sure I would love it if things I'd purchased were being disabled.

Doc B - You should never lose a resource. If you had it, you should still have it. If you don't, contact Logos.

Two things to note, besides what others have said:
First only the NIV84 has the RevInt. The NIV84 has the blue cover (the NIV2011 has a yellow cover)
Second, the NIV84 RevInt is only for the NT (as of today).

PTL for the forums! Should have done this much sooner!
