Vyrso in Amazon Appstore for Android

Vyrso is already in the android market, so it will work on most android tablets and smart phones... I can use Logos and Vyrso on my original Droid. By releasing it in the Amazon Android marketplace it should allow it to run on the Fire... (I've got one preordered), and the Fire is running an Amazon customized version of Android, so I would think it will work on it... though until it arrives on November 17, I won't be able to confirm that.. right now it doesn't list Fire as one of my devices yet.

Yes. Both the Vyrso and Logos apps can read all the same books.

I am waiting until I learn more about the compatibility before I make a purchase. Also, there are rumors that Apple will release cheaper ($300) iPads when the iPad 3 comes out. I would much rather have a 2nd iPad (so I don't have to share with my wife and kids [:)]).

I would like to see a Logos 4 APP specificaly designed for the Amazon Android app store that will work for the Amazon Kindle Fire. This would be a deciding factor as to whether I would purchase the kndle fire, and whether or not I would have to change the firmware on it.

I'm running the Kobo Vox, and don't find Vyrso in the getjar market. I've sideloaded the Logos App and it works fine. Still, is there any chance of getting Vyrso and Logos into the Kobo App store?

Looking at Kobo's web site => http://www.kobobooks.com/kobovox_apps noticed over 15,000 apps in their Android store, but web site does not have contact for app submission. In July 2011, over 250,000 apps were available for Android => http://www.androidcentral.com/android-market-now-has-more-quarter-million-applications so appears Kobo Books offers less than 6 % of available Android apps.
Kobo Vox tech specs => http://www.kobobooks.com/kobovox_tech has SD Memory Card that Logos app needs.
In contrast, getjar.com describes itself as the world's largest free app store => http://www.getjar.com/about/ (noticeably missing a Logos competitor). Followed developer link to => http://developer.getjar.com/
Also found an article about third party app stores => http://www.pcworld.com/article/210624/thirdparty_app_stores_worth_the_trouble.html
Keep Smiling [:)]

I found the Vyrso app in Amazon's store, but it will not install on my Kindle Fire.
Does it have to be side loaded?

I am new to Android (via the Kindle Fire).
How do I get the file, and then what folder should I drop it in when I want to load it?
Thanks for any help!

You might want to look in the Android Forum.

Thanks for the laugh, Bama!
I went to the Android Forum and found excellent instructions on how to side load Logos. Vyrso would be the same procedure, but I can't find a link for the file.
I don't want to do study on the Fire, just reading. So Vyrso would be better overall.
The Logos app works OK, but I am still messing with it.
What I REALLY want is an easy way (there are hard ones) to get my Logos books on my e-ink Kindle. I don't think I will be doing much reading on the backlit screen of the Fire.
That being said, the Fire is a great little device for the price. My only gripe is the touchscreen is not very responsive sometimes, and scrolling is not very smooth.

I don't know your kindle's specs, but if you can browse the web on it, you can access all your logos/vyrso resources at bibla.com.
