Installation Problem

I have successfully installed Proclaim on a few pc's now but ran in to a problem on one installation.

As I was installing on my laptop, I unfortunately lost my internet connection during the process. Now that I am connected to the internet again, instead of downloading the needed files again, it tries to open the improperly installed app. This gives me an error that says, 'Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor'.

I tried using the windows uninstall tool to remove the improperly installed version but it just flashes an error window too fast to read and remains installed.

Any ideas?

Go ahead and restart your computer, then try the uninstallation again via Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program.

If that fails try installing again, and select details. Copy that text to a document and post it here so we can better diagnose the issue.

I am having the same issue. I get the error message that says: "Application cannot be stared. Contact the application vendor".

The story goes that I uninstalled proclaim on my work computer and now I need to put it back on. I look in the control panel and I see Proclaim listed as installed application. I tried to uninstall from the control panel and I see a quick window pop up and then close quickly. The application remains on the installed program list.

I even took the step of going through my registry (windows 7) and looking for Proclaim specific entries to delete. But it did not help.

Hello everyone,

It seems like there might be some issues with the installer we use and maybe some corrupted files that are getting in the way of uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Since you cannot successfully uninstall the software, try clearing the cache of the internet browser you use and then installing the software directly from the website. If this does not work, then call customer service at 800-875-6467.

So thanks I guess I should of thought of the uninstall trick and reinstall as that seems to be the normal thing to do nowadays.
