Deleted James 3 NLT

My wife was in James 3 this morning ( evidently didn't like that Taming of the Tongue portion and somehow deleted the chapter from her NLT text. How do we get that back? And if i have to reload it – though i'm not sure how to do that yet – will she lose ALL of her highlights throughout the NLT?

If highlighting (or visual filter) was used to shrink text size and change font color, wonder about clicking three circles, then uncheck highlighting (or visual filter).

She said she had highlighted it ( without her glasses on ), and "then it was gone!" She doesn't know how to use the visual filter yet, and as you can see – from the screenshot – James goes from the end of chapter 2 right into chapter 4.

Okay, i "clicked the three circles, then unchecked ( HER ) highlighting" and there it was – James 3. So it WAS something she did in HER highlighting this morning. She's just learning how to do that, but unfortunately HER Mac ( OSX 10.7.WHATERVER! ) operates entirely differently than MY Mac ( OSX 10.6.8 ) so i'm not much help to her. Razzer frazzer smudge hockey! Pray for us; we're headed out to lunch... TOGETHER! And thanks for the help...

DOES Logos 4 work "as it should" in OSX 10.7.whatever? Or are there known "glitches"? Again, thanks!

Now wondering about highlighting style ? Curious if style has small font with super/sub script and white font ? Other possibility is Logos 4 not displaying highlight so entire chapter disappears.

If highlighting should show on screen, would like to look at diagnostic logs. Could enable logging, launch Logos 4 Mac, open NLT, turn highlighting on and off, then close Logos 4 Mac, compress log files, then reply and attach zip file.

Option: download and use an applescipt application 5504.Logos4MacLogging.app.zip to display logging setting, then change to enable logging.

For compressing logs for posting, please download and use Logos Log Scribe application to create a zip file on your desktop (copies console messages, then compresses contents of your Logging folder for posting).

Some Mac computers running OS X Lion with graphics sharing memory seem to be bit more crash prone; albeit since Logos 4.3 SR-8 release (28 Dec 2011) number of crash reports has dropped substantially.

I'm with you on the Lion thing. It works great for most things but just try to run an older Mac app on it, one made for OS X, but Power PC. Head. Desk. Some things just won't work on it as it is the version that slammed the door on the past entirely by gutting Rosetta and adding new things to it. Some ereader devices I have won't connect to it either. Viewing this post made me smile as it reminded me of a prank we played on a receptionist at a shop I worked at once. She was the text book blonde. She actually DID have white out on her screen. Computers weren't all that big back then but corporate shoved this thing off on us and we had to make the best of it. We had this guy who managed to find a way to change the font color to the same color as the background. I want to say it was monochrome with orange letters and a black background but I can't recall. It was truly grand fun to watch her interact with a screen she couldn't see anything on. At one point she was using a flashlight to try and make the letters, like totally appear. I am just grateful that I haven't managed to do something like this yet. But by the grace of God alone am I actually able to get this program to do close to what I want. There are so many bells, whistles and hidden things in this program it is like stumbling through a mine field at midnight on a new moon. God has a great sense of humor and I bet He is going to get a good chuckle when I manage to do something like this in the near future. I just hope I am not using a flashlight on the screen to find something that like totally disappeared, you know? :-D
