Is there a way to play a youtube video in Proclaim? This will probably be a go/no-go issue as far as purchasing this software. Thanks....scott
We are adding support for web page service items in the upcoming 1.1 release which will allow you to embed a youtube video.
Scott,
I would edit your post...spammers can mine your email address.

I would edit your post...
Thanks Philana! I just took care of that for Scott.
The way I get around this currently is to download videos from youtube through the firefox browsers. There's an add-in called download helper that automatically downloads web based videos. I've used it several times successfully. Then I simply upload the video to Proclaim.
You can also download them and convert them into MP4 or.mov formats.
It really works slick when you just use it from your local drive. Save time in uploading.
Marc - thank you for this. Minutes before our service this saved us!
Download the free version of Anyvideoconverter. I use it to convert to either MP4 or WMV. I've had more success uploading the WMV to proclaim. I can also use WMV with my powerpoint presentation. If you embed a video in the powerpoint you can't upload to the cloud because it converts the powerpoint to slides.
Does anyone know if there is one that is a Chrome extension that works on Youtube? Thanks
NVM, I found this on another thread:
http://www.youtube.com/embed/{video ID}?html5=1&autoplay=1
Create item "Web Page", choose your YT vid. copy and paste above URL into Web Page item, but put in the vid ID from your YT vid where it says "{video ID}"
It will auto play and be full screen.
Thanks
Here is the feed if I am confusing, haha

A quick way to download YouTube videos is to pre-pend the URL with an "SS". Example below:
Original URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP4r4sXmqmo
Downloadable URL: http://www.SSyoutube.com/watch?v=XP4r4sXmqmo
On the downloadable page you will be presented with multiple versions/file types of the video to download.
