Highlighting using images over several lines of text

When I highlight a portion of text that covers more than one line of text using an image marker, the image is placed at the start of each line. I only want the image to be displayed at the start of the highlight, not on each line of text. As below:
Is there an option to display image just once at the start of the highlight?
Thanks in advance.

Can replicate using Logos 4.5a Beta 4, images are placed before every line. In contrast, text before is placed once before all line(s). Hence, wonder about using highlighting with stylized text before ?

That doesn't seem consistent. If stylized text only appears before all lines then why not images? Just looks messy! Will have to find a workaround like you suggested.

Observation: same behavior happens in Logos 4.5a Beta 4 on Windows: images before (OR after OR start OR end OR center) are repeated for every line. However, an image placed in the left or right margin appears once for each selection.

I believe this is a bug that was introduced when they combined the Notes and Highlighting functionality in 4.5. I saw that someone reported it when the feature first showed up, but I can't remember any words they used to describe the problem, so I can't find it. Thus I don't know whether someone from Logos reported back that it was by design (a lousy design if you ask me, if so) or a confirmed bug that they'd pass on to Development.

BUMP!!!!
I'm just coming back to using the highlighting tool after quite a while. I was just about to post about this bug when I discovered that I already posted about it four years ago!!
Highlighting styles that use an image at the start of the highlight, place images at the start of each line included in the highlight. Which, in my view, just looks messy!
Has this ever been looked at, devs?!

I encountered this just last week. I agree that the way it works now seems broken.

Image repetition can be increased by interaction with other visual filter(s):
Image in a margin does not repeat.
Margin image appears on the first line that contains the highlighting. Noticed translucent image disappears when combined with highlighting color:

Bradley and I had a couple of discussions on this in the forums but I can't find them ... aargh

Margin image appears on the first line that contains the highlighting.
Image in a margin does not repeat.
The image in the margin seems to behave itself and stay there! But I'd prefer to have the image start where the sentence starts (most often mid-sentence), and there only be one of them.
I kind of understand why the image spills over several lines - if the user doesn't require any further visual filter (e.g. solid marker) then it wouldn't be clear what was being highlighted.
So, it would be good if there was a way to toggle whether the image spills over several lines or not.
