I have a new MacBook Air with limited storage. I'd like to delete some of the books in my library in order to free up some space. Is there any way to do that on a Mac?

Logos is designed to be synced. Yes, you can "delete" some books… but they will be deleted from your other computers as well. There are ways around this, but are a hassle and not worth your time (in my opinion). [It would involve not syncing to the internet]
The way that you "delete" books is to "hide" them. Under the Logos Bible Software 4 menu: Preferences: scroll to the bottom and there is a box to hide resources. You drag the title from the library into the box. restart your computer and the resources are gone. To restore books, delete them from the list.
Thanks for the help. I'm trying to hide the Perseus collection, containing over 1700 resources. I've selected all the items and tried dragging them into the "hidden resources" pane, but it's only letting me add one at a time. Am I doing something wrong?

May be quicker to contact Logos => http://www.logos.com/about/contact to request removal of Perseus collections from your Logos.com account.

No, thread => Tip: How to hide up to 10 resources at once may be helpful

Hiding 10 at a time in the manner suggested would take longer than hiding each individually. I don't want to delete Perseus from my account, because I want it to be available on other computers. Is there really no solution?
nope. We are asking Logos to revamp their Library management:
nope. We are asking Logos to revamp their Library management: use "hidden" as a filter in the Library, where it belongs, not the Program Settings allow us to sort by Collections Allow us to Hide/Delete entire collections provide enhanced "views", such as "Recent", eBooks, etc.

Perhaps you didn't understand me. If you "hide" the books on one computer, it will "hide" them on the other as well.
Resource licenses for your Logos library on all computers are identical, however, different computers can have different subset(s) in Logos4 folder. Forum discussion => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/38693/289484.aspx#289484 has steps for Logos 4 "Lite" so could hide and reduce casual usage library size.
Caveat: unhiding a resource causes resource to be queued for download on other computers.
Caution: with "Use Internet" set to Yes, Logos 4 does check for updates. If "Automatically download updates" is set to No, a pop-up is displayed with resource size to download. The pop-up can be dismissed without causing download, however, if click middle of pop-up instead of close, then download starts (can be canceled using Logos indexer icon).
Another option is an iPad (choose which resources to download for offline use); refurbished iPad 2's dropped to $ 349 => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad
Potential idea: have Logos remove Perseus Collection(s) from your account, restart Logos 4 Mac, verify Perseus resources are no longer in library, then use rebuild index to force rebuild of indexes, which deletes, then creates indexes without Perseus. Once indexing done (hours later), change "Automatically download updates" to No. Then order Perseus collection(s) for use on other Logos 4 installation(s). In a Logos 4 installation with "Automatically download updates" set to Yes, after a download is installed, copy new resource file(s) to USB drive, connect USB to your "lite" Logos 4 Mac, then use scan command, followed by restarting "lite" Logos 4 Mac to copy and index newer resource files(s).

Sadly tho a great workaround, each update that was installed would trigger downloading again of all the perseus resources to the Airbook that have been unhidden on the Mac, so its a one shot deal, or the airbook will be running an older dmg file.

For program updates, could use wiki Mac Troubleshooting => Installing Logos 4 Mac steps to manually update Logos 4 Mac application bundle.
