I'm having trouble installing Logos 4 on one computer so that it can be accessed by all users on my computer (my wife). Does anyone know how to do this?

There is actually no "family" licensing with Logos Bible Software, the software is licensed to "you", which the EULA defines as: "'You' means the one person or company who is being licensed to use the Software, Content and Documentation."Do you have only one computer in your family that you share with your wife, or does your wife have her own computer but sometimes uses your computer? For my family, we each have our own computer. So I bought Logos Bible Software for each of the other people in my family. Actually I put my wife under the "one user" category that Bob Pritchett spoke of in that post. I realize he says, "For the record, this email is not a replacement of the EULA or a new policy. It's just how I think about it, and how I encourage our staff to think about it." But if he feels free to think about it like that, shouldn't I be able to?

You would have to install it for each user on the computer (including duplicate resources). The Logos 4 install goes in the user's directory where only that one user can access it. The best thing to do is let your wife use the same Windows login id as you.
Alright, that's what I figured. Not really a huge inconvenience, but just thought I would ask in case it was possible.

I'm a number of years out of date from giving PC support information (my career before ordination) but couldn't the resources be installed to a Public directory, the software installed on both users, and L4 told to find the resources in the Public directory? That way less disk space would be used.
Just curious if it would work ... I can't imagine updating multiple copies of the same resources on the same computer.

In Windows XP and beyond you can map one location to another. Would it be possible to map a single directory to two different user directories? I've not tried that, but you might consider it.
Mind you, if you attempt it - all support desk calls will be pointless because that's operating way outside of the way Logos is intended.

A bible software company should help us protect the innocents of our families. If I want to restrict the internet usage of my kids with a limited account, but still give them access to the bible software, Logos should help me protect my kids!!!
Yet again, I'm lost. Why would I want any company "protecting" my children - it's my job to protect and educate them in prudent internet use. And why does Logos have anything to do with internet protection - I've always set internet controls in the browser. Admittedly, I know one young man whose parents had to resort to specialized software to block and monitor his use - but Logos would have had no part to play in the issue.
You can install Logos on the limited account that your children use. Granted, it will double the disc space used but it will work.
