new vyrso problem on iPad
Library refuses to finish downloading on iPad, and no option to search. It stays on edition:e. Will happily function with what's available, but I want to check whether I have a Logos Hebrew Testament downloaded. Haven't tried going into aeroplane mode, as that won't help if I need to download the book. Have killed the app, but not done a complete shutdown, as I'm actually halfway through my Bible study session....
Vyrso has been behaving in an exemplary manner so far. Library working fine on iPod.
Any ideas? Anyone else had the joy of this problem?

I went into airplane mode. It said library data incomplete and produced a spinning pizza. I killed the app and it refused to open. Vyrso screen arrived for a few seconds and then closed. Am back online and it claims to be loading library data. The edition:e books are there and usable, but no option to search for other books. My iOS is the latest, have just checked. MAybe it's an iPad problem, as vyrso working on iPod?

I don't fully understand… are there three problems or one? Are you saying that "edition:e" is persistent and you can't delete it? What were you trying to download?

Some other users have complained about having difficulties offline, but I have not experienced this. I don't know if your problem is related or not.

There's no place to fill in a search criteria, so it stays with the last one, which was edition:e. I should have liked to change search criteria to download a hebrew Bible, but the search box didn't appear. It says: library data incomplete. Then: loading library data. And stays there. It only shows vyrso books. I was able to download a new freebie, tho not at the first attempt. I haven't yet closed ipad down and restarted it.

You need to do this at your earliest convenience. It will only take 2-3 minutes and could possibly solve your problem. If it doesn't, could you post a screen shot of your library?

I did manage to send a log to CS, I think. But it hasn't reached me.

Push and hold both iPad buttons at the same time. If you volume is on, you should hear a camera "shutter" sound. Your photo will be in the iOS Photos app at the very bottom (where all new photos go). You will need to email yourself the photo, download it, save it someplace where you can get to it, and then attach it to a post in the forums.

have got iPad email working. Here's the vyrso log file, hopefully....
Does this work? Or do I nee3d to ask you to teach me how to attach a data file?

I am not a programmer or a techie, so you will have to take my comments with a grain of salt. After reviewing your logs, you more than 100 resources which need to be updated! A sample of this: Resource LLS:PRAYMORGAN is newer on the server. Server version: 2011-10-27T22:12:02Z Local version: 2011-03-21T22:31:33Z. When you go to the home screen, is there a warning that resources need to be updated?
Another thing that could be causing trouble (in fact, this may be THE issue) is a warning: LibraryCatalogDatabaseHelper failed to create record for resource LLS:HWRTNARSRM. I believe this is How To Write Narrative Sermons. Do you own that resource? Is it downloaded? If so, can you delete it?

Thanks for quick reply.Ido own How to write narrative sermons. It's probably downloaded on vyrso. But I can't delete it, as I can't get out of edition:e books! I managed to open Hebrew Bible by putting it as my Bible of choice, so it opened.It doesn't tell me on vyrso that resources need to be updated..

I sent an email to someone who might be of more assistance. Unfortunately, I think you will need to delete the app, which will cause you to lose your downloaded resources. On the other hand, with 110+ resources which need to be updated, perhaps that isn't bad, but I know you don't have great internet. [:S]

I thought that might be the case. The friends I'm staying with have greaT INTERNET! tho I shall need to check they don't have a cap on it-probably not, as they host students.
Thank you for emailing the other person. I don't know if CS will have any better ideas than consult the forums. (In fact, that'snot such a bad idea!)
