You can add slide breaks manually by entering two dashes on their own line "--" (without the quotes).
Adding two sets of dashes will produce a blank slide:

Do you put "--" into the song lyrics?
Or do you put it into the song format such as
"Verse1, Chorus, --, Verse 2"
I did get a blank slide once using the "--" but the blank showed up where the Chorus should have appeared.
If you want a blank slide in the middle of a song you should do this:
Add "[Blank]" without the quotes to the body of the song (under the last lyrics, for example) and then put "--", again without the quotes, underneath it. Then in your song order you can put this: "V1, C, Blank, V2" etc.

I think Hunter's way only works if you do not tick the box to customise the verse order i.e. Having put the -- into the lyrics directly you let the song display in the order of the lyrics.
