                 I am thrilled and excited re. your posting this work of Hengstenberg!          Bill, I've been grateful that you've shared this work for my Logos 3.0g set up a long, long time ago as a PBB.          I've really appreciated having it and have referred to it on numerous occasions.

                                                     I still run Logos 3 or Libronix on my same computer that I use for Logos 4.  \                         

                       Now I realise that perhaps it is perhaps high time to pull the plug on my L3 installation after all these years.     

Evidently there is supposed to be some graffiti on the walls of the New York City subway that says, "Nostalgia ain't what it used to be!"

                             Well, Nostalgia for my many years of Logos before L4 is almost getting the best of me!         *smile*

I have added a few reference links to some church fathers and Josephus as well as reference tags to compile and use this as a "Bible Commentary". I figured some more of you might like the added functionality.  I will probably get around to doing this to the other volumes as well...

I know this is a long time after the fact, but thanks Bill and Ken for making this great resource available to us! Rosie referenced it in a recent thread so I've just come across it!

As one of the creators of this, I have all four volumes built in my Logos library, but I built them many months ago. I don't know if a new version of the PBB tool affected these. I would suggest looking at the log files and posting the errors for help.

I can't post the log file as it is apparently too large.  I got 4 errors and 1678 warnings.  the warnings are all : [Warning] Unknown class name 'HebrewText'

It came to me in a vision...

Volume 4 had no obvious blank headings in the Word Navigation Pane. But, I had compiled these some time ago before the PB compiler became so picky. So, I opened the Volume 4 resource in Logos, started at the top, set Article as the navigation point in the Locator Bar and 'arrowed' through all the articles and found two places where the Visual Cue bounced on blank spaces.

In the docx, those places are:  Page 93 (MS Word pagination), just before the heading 'MALACHI': delete the 2 paragraph marks before it;  Pages 129 & 130, delete the 2 paragraph marks just before the heading 'History of the Exposition of Vers. 5'. The document should compile after that (It did for me).

Since we won't always have the benefit of previous successful compilations of a PB to guide us, I will post a suggestion on how the PB compiler might provide more clues for the location of the 'empty article' error.

You'll still get all the warnings, but I think many of those are of the annoyance type that have no practical consequences. I did notice that some Hebrew words in the complied resource won't 'look up' in the Info tool; I may do some investigation on why Word didn't auto-detect them. [EDIT[ This could be because I don't have a Hebrew lexicon large / complete enough to report it.

BTW, if I didn't mention it before, I should add that these four PB docs are extremely well-done; Top-Shelf.

Glad you both got it to work and are finding these books useful. I also hope that the official edition will happen without too much delay and make a better offering that Bill made, to which I tweaked a bit.

Are you sure it's the Hebrew stuff killing it?

BTW, do you have these in a Series? If so, you'll need to close each one after you build it. Otherwise, you might get the dreaded 'can't close resource error' on the next one.

These are the same errors I fixed. Just for fun, rebuild 2 & 4 after deleting the file in each one and making sure you add the versions from my zip I posted recently. This can get very confusing if we're not careful with all the edits.

Interesting... the 1st time, I extracted the files into the folder that had the prior files, replacing them. On rebuild with the same pointer from Builder, it was successful for only 1 & 3. This time, I deleted the pointer in Builder, then rebuilt the file... And now, on 2 & 4, success! Thanks for your counsel, Robert. Do I need to do the same with 1 & 3? I thought the file name in builder was only a pointer to the file location. Does it store a copy & is not just a pointer?
