Richard - Are the following resources mobile enabled:
21 Days on Prayer
Read Alone with God
I could not find them on the Logos site to check if they were mobile enabled.
Perhaps not, but the others definitely are! I will try reinstalling. Thanks for your help!

I like having access to all my note files on iOs but could you make it a bit more obvious which books are downloaded. Color in the information circle with something other than grey? How about green?
I agree completely. It is dificult to easily see if a book is downloaded. Instead of grey, maybe green? Something that would show up a bit.

maybe green?
A neon green circle would show up!

Thanks! This was very helpful. Sorry if I've misused the forum/thread. [:$]
The "right-swipe" on the iPod was at the bottom of the screen, so that threw me off, but I've found what I was looking. I appreciate the help.
Cheers...Jim

none of my reading plans are showing up anywhere
On my iPhone, current readings from my RPs show up on the "Devotions" pane (fourth from the left when you tap on the magnifying glass) and the Reading Plans themselves show up on the "Documents" pane. Same on my iPad.
I think this release is a huge step forward for the IOS app, and having access to full notes documents on-the-go will be great. I'm going to give the app a good review in the app store as well: this puts it into a different league.

Manage downloaded resources (automatically download resources)
Community notes
Fill-in resourcesWhat are these features, and how do we see them in action?
Also, when I'm offline, searching on the Library screen will only give the spinning wheel (e.g. edition:e or edition:ebook). Is it supposed to work when offline?

Maybe I'm the only one but my reading plans DO NOT show up under devotionals on my ipad. However, they DO show up under the documents tab.
Strange.

Hi Peter,
Library Search doesn't work when offline - this is a known issue. Thanks for the report.!

Peter - Hopefully this will help:
- Manage downloaded resources (automatically download resources) - If you delete your app, a popup will appear asking if you want to redownload previously downloaded books. My experience is that it didn't work perfectly, but it worked pretty well.
- Community notes - This is directly related to Faithlife. Notes can now be added to a community group. Visit faithlife for more details if you are unfamiliar.
- Fill-in resources - I believe that he means resources which have blanks to fill in are now "fill-in-able."

Let us know if the reinstall works.
It did! Seems that it takes a while for the reading plans to appear, but they do eventually. All good.
No sign of any notes yet though!

I think I remember reading somewhere that notes and highlights aren't supported on the iPhone 3G

Hi Graham
You're right. It was made quite clear with v2 that notes and highlights wouldn't be supported on 3G. But with v3, there is an option to create notes, and one can create notes, and community notes appear at Faithlife.com and Logos 4. However, private notes go nowhere it seems.
I guess we'll need a response from Logos HQ to give a clear answer.

Richard - I am confused what you are asking. Can you try again? Screen shots would be nice. [;)] Also, can you clarify what device(s) you are using?

Nicely done Logos. Though it wasn't obvious where to find reading plans, etc to start, but worked it out only because I'd been using the Faithlife app. Thanks for the improvements to notes accessibility.

Where can i split the screen?

Where can i split the screen?
Same way you could split the screen with the 2.x builds… Find the semi-circle and drag.
EDIT: Here is a screen shot. Notice the semi-circle button in the middle right. You will find this either in the top or bottom right. Hold & drag or double click.

Speaking of split screens, I love using the Text comparison tool, the word study and passage guides on a split screen. As the younger generation says, the whole setup just rocks!

I'm using a pre-historic, retro iPhone 3G!
I guess I wasn't really asking anything here, merely pointing out that notes were not an available feature for 3Gs under v2, but that they have now appeared but are partially working in v3.
Here's what I'm doing...
I find a text I want to make a note on (eg Heb 1:3)
So I swipe up and select 'Add Note'
I then see this screen. Notice 'Private' is selected at the top. I add details to the note, create a new note file, and then I tap 'Done' (which I am)
Back in the ESV, there is no indication that a note has been attached to Heb 1:3
Although the note is recorded in the Note file I created under documents
Neither does the note appear in the ESV in Logos 4 (or under 'File' for that matter)
However, it is different when I create a 'Community' note - note appears in Logos 4 and at Faithlife.com, but there is still no note marker in the ESV in iOS app.
Hope that makes things a little clearer. As I said in an earlier post, I suspect that notes aren't really meant to function fully on the iPhone 3G even though the option to create notes is now available.

Someone mentioned you can now have the Notes window appear as one of the split screens on the iPad... Is this true? If so, how do you do that?

Hi Peter
Someone mentioned you can now have the Notes window appear as one of the split screens on the iPad... Is this true? If so, how do you do that?
Yes, it is true - and really useful.
- Have focus set on the part of the screen where you want the notes to appear
- go back to the home screen (three-finger downswipe will do this) and navigate to the Documents pane in the right-hand quartile of the screen
- find the notes file you want and press it
- it will appear in the split screen area selected
Just one thing which I - and some others - think could be improved is that any individual note only fills half of the panel it is in, It would be helpful if it were a full-panel display
Hope this helps
Graham

It does. [:)]
I think that you are probably right. I wonder if it was an oversight and that Logos needs to turn this feature off for older phones...

Excellent tip on the shortcut to the Home screen! Thanks.

You don't have to go to the home screen if you open up the sidebar by tapping the book icon in the upper left corner. Documents is one of the sections you can swipe to (4th page). It also gives you the darkened pane that indicates the document or resource will appear in the other pane. Tapping the inactive pane will make it active. Note that this is on iPad.

We do need to remove that option on these older devices, and this'll happen in the next update. But before we do, we will sync up whatever notes you've created.
