Hopefully it's just some easy thing that I'm overlooking, but the new version 3.0 seems to be sadly broken when doing a simple Bible search. Here's what I do:
- Go to the search pane.
- Tap the Bible button on the top right to do a Bible search, rather than a Basic search.
- Below the Find text box, the button shows Top Bibles, but since I don't want to search all of those versions, Tap the button, and from the rolling selector, choose a single version (like NAS, or KJV 1900, or HCSB, or ESV). Tap Done just above the rolling selector.
- Tap the Find text box and type a simple search word like sanctification. Tap Search.
- Results display quickly enough, but they are useless. They have no book identifiers, just chapter numbers (e.g., Chapter 4 - NAS. Also, the list is not in canonical order; it is some goofy random order (presumably driven by some "relevance" algorithm.
After Tapping the x button and the cancel button in the Find text box, the problem manifests itself--in the search history, the search I just did is listed as a Basic search, NOT a Bible search. If I repeat the above steps, but leave the rolling selector on Top Bibles, then a proper Bible search is done with results showing in canonical order with complete book, chapter, and verse references. But it is a search through all five top Bibles, which is not at all of interest to me.
Can someone please tell me what I'm missing, or confirm the problem?
Thanks!
