I am getting an error message when trying to use the remote app. It is telling me that the rendering request failed. Any ideas on what to do?
This should be working for you again now. We are currently looking into why this issue occurred.
Follow up question. Does the app only open a presentation if one is open on the network already, or will it open a presentation anywhere?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this, could you clarify? You can open any presentation in your group, even if it is not On Air, to view it. If you go On Air with any presentation in your group, you should be able to open and control it with the Remote.
Regarding the ongoing issues with presentations failing to render and/or load, our developers are currently looking into the problem and we will be updating on here when we have more information.
I mean does it only work for a presentation that is "on air" or can it open any presentation at any time whether it is live or not.
All I know is that I have never been able to open any presentation with the remote app
You should be able to open any presentation for your group, even if it is not on air, but you will only be able to view it, not Control it or take it On Air from the Remote. You will only be able to Control a presentation that is already On Air.
What happens when you try to Control an On Air presentation from within the Remote app? Are you on Android or iOS? Are you using a tablet or a phone? Do you know what version of the app you are using?
on my remote the presentation indicates that it is on air, but the graphics don't appear. The graphics for some of the older presentations appears and I can look at them. There are other presentations that are older that the graphics do not appear and I can't look at them I get a "could not render" notice. It appears as though the presentations that the graphics do not appear, on and off air are not responding.
I get a "failed request" when I try to connect to the presentation on air.
last Sunday the graphics took about 1/2 way through the service to appear on the remote, once the graphics appeared I could control the presentation.
Tried shutting down and rebooting both the lap top and my iphone, I had the same issue on the iPad.
I have never been able to even see a presentation with the app. I always get a rendering failed or unable to load. When I go to open a presentation, I can see the list of presentations I have made, but cannot select anything or load anything.
I am using an iPad2 for the remote app. As far as I can tell, I am using the latest app. 1.0.2
Do I need to do something special in Proclaim to publish it in a way that the app can see it?
Okay, I tried something new. I opened a sample presentation in Proclaim, and I can see that one on the app (it was the independence day template) It is just the presentations that I make that I can not see???? What is going on??
The issue with the "failed request" and "could not render" messages should be resolved now, though we are still testing the fix. However, you should be able to view and control presentations again.
I am experiencing this issue currently/yesterday....suggestions on how to fix?
Jerry, we did experience some intermittent server issues, but you should be able to successfully control the presentation using the Proclaim Remote again.
