Hey guys, we're currently using Mediashout 3.5 on our computer, as we have for the last several years. I looked at Proclaim when it first was introduced, but it was missing way too much functionality. We recently looked at it again, and I think all the functionality I need is there, so I've been looking at what we need to do in order to make the switch. This morning, I tried Proclaim on the computer in our multimedia system and found it to be quite sluggish. With videos in particular, it was a major problem--the video would be choppy and lag way behind the audio. Transitions between slides (fade) were choppy, though I'm probably more sensitive to that than anyone in our congregation.
Anyway, my question is what are the recommended system specs for Proclaim? I can't seem to find anything, and the one place the web site links to is requirements for Logos 4 (which runs slow regardless of system...) If I need to build a new system, what do I need to be concerned about? (processor cores/speeds, RAM, Video Card, etc.) Also, does the fact that this computer currently has Vista on it make a difference? Would it run better under Windows 7? Thanks in advance for your help!
