What, in your opinion, is a fair price for the data sets and the new features?
I have Platinum JG package myself and I am not planning on upgrading to any of the packages because very few, if any, of the books in the new packages are a must-have for me, especially at that price.
It would be ideal if I could purchase the features, without the extra books, for a reasonable price.
That said, what do you think is a fair price for the data sets and the new features?
I'd say $350.
EDIT: It looks like Logos will be offering exactly what I'm looking for in the Minimum Crossgrade for under $100... wow.. that's way less than what I was willing to pay.

I'd say $350.That is too much, I think. You might as well go with L5 Gold, but that depends on what base package one has. As Bob has mentioned here, the minimum crossgrade will probably include most/all of the new L5 data sets (and perhaps selected resources needed to make the data sets work) and should cost less than $100. For the complete data sets and resources needed, I'd be willing to pay up to $140. But less cost is always better for us.

You're absolutely right. Now that I think about it, even Silver is a great deal. Only $272.77 for the upgrade, and you get 49 of the 53 new features plus some new books too.
While I think Logos should have come out with all the price points from the get-go, I don't think they cheated anyone as many people seem to be suggesting. Most of the bashing against Logos at this point is unwarranted..0 -
For the minimum crossgrade, I would pay anything up to around $150.

I'd be pleased as punch to pay the $350 mentioned. I'm not recommending the price point for anyone else. Just saying what I'd pay for it. Now strangely enough, I absolutely refuse the 'upgrade'. I don't need 'Bronze' or 'Silver' and I certainly don't want all those resouces on my PC. I'm happy with what I've got. But if they took my $350 and gave me the new L5, that be a really fine deal.

The 'Sense Lexicon' (and here I'm likely showing my ignorance) really should replace the Louw Nida type of orientation and could only be done with a product like L5. Many months back I tried programming something similar just to see how hard it was to do. Lordy.
So if Bob charged me $100 for the cross-grade and another $250 for my bad attitude about Logos marketing, that'd be a fair payment.

Just to help communicate the real costs of these projects: the Bible Sense Lexicon is the product of a full-time team of 3 people with graduate-level training in biblical languages (and a good deal of my time as well), working since the beginning of the year. This is an enormously challenging task (we've still got a ways to go). I believe we've created both a solid contribution to biblical scholarship as well as a very practical help for those simply looking to unlock more of the meaning of the original text. And having it available in a digital library makes all the difference in usability over a print resource.

That is not for us to say:
The labourer (Logos) is worthy of his reward (pay) and I think Bob and his team have likely prayed hard about the charges given the state of the world economy.I have no concerns about the upgrade price, however,like many others I am low waged at $500 approx per month, so have to prioritise between needs and niceties, am reliant on God to provide funds for upgrade, but if/when I am meant to, know that God will make a way.. plus waiting also carries upside that most of the initial bugs will be ironed out.

That was exactly my thought when I read the Bible Sense Lexicon description.
