What "Soon" means or at least approximately means would be helpful.
First off this is not a complaint thread.
I would just like an estimated for the approximate time frame for the activation of the minimal cross grade.
Are we talking any day, a week or two, a month or two?
I fall into the category of very excited (possibly anxious) to upgrade but can't even remotely afford to do the regular upgrade (in my case platinum L4 to platinum L5 is $643) even with the payment plan.
If I new it was more than a couple days I'd quit checking all the time.
Forgive me if its been already said but all I've found was "soon" and one guy saying a rep he talked to on the phone said after Christmas which in my book isn't "soon". I probably just need to be patient but I don't think it's uncalled for to ask.

So, just to confirm we will have a cross-grade in a week?
No official commitment yet, but we're working on it now and could have it live on the website in the next week or two. Again, that's not a guarantee. That represents our current plans. We'll provide a concrete date as soon as it's available.
Any indiction of costs for a 'full feature' cross-grade?
We're still working on the exact contents that the MCs will include. The smaller one, which might lack one or two features, will probably be between $75 and $150. The larger one, with all the features plus a few core resources, will probably be between $150 and $300, depending on which version of the software you're moving from. For Logos 4 users, it'll be on the lower end of those ranges. For Logos 3, it'll be a bit more expensive. For Logos 2 users, even more.
For Logos 5 Starter to Silver users who are just looking to pick up the missing features, it'll be significantly lower. Dynamic pricing will apply to both products, so the ownership discount will be applied as appropriate.
"The larger one, with all the features plus a few core resources, will probably be between $150 and $300".
So, by ALL resources, do you mean the ones from Gold? Or including Septuagint translation? Because if so and it includes the LXX (which I would call a core resource), that larger one is sounding mighty fine right about now

That is very encouraging news. I'm happy to pay for the new features. I'm not one of the (very few, but vocal) who want it for nothing. What I don't want is to pay for a bunch of new resources I neither need nor want in an upgrade package just to get the new data sets. I would still spend that money on Logos resources, but it would be on resources I want. That makes for happier customers, in my never-owned-a-retail-business opinion.
Again, thanks for the encouraging news.

Uh oh. I didn't read Phil's statement too careful. "Logos 3" users. I wonder how they'll know I'm using Logos3? Probably at least for the next few weeks, I'll use my Logos4. Synchronize a lot. Maybe makes some notes. Just in case.
Actually Phil's little messages is absolutely great news (after hearing about Logos5, of course).

They are spying on you through the camera on your display, which is why mine does not have a camera [:D]
Phil was likely referring to those who purchased L3 and never upgraded to L4—but you probably already guessed this [H]

I think it have to be more for those who have never upgraded to L4 Base Package or at least to the Minimal Crossgrade (even if they installed Logos 4 engine). They will actually buy both minimal crossgrades, Logos 4 and Logos 5 one. In Logos 5 case it have to include also some resources connected to the new features.
It is very fair and flexible from Logos IMHO. I really appreciate them for that approach.

What is biblical "soon"? Is it 2 Pe 3:8 or something like it? [;)]

Looking forward to the "Core" and "Core Light" options.
Personally, I love the idea of just having the core functionality without all the extra resources. I come to Logos for it's powerful word study and cross referencing (value-added tools), not all the bundled e-paperbacks.
Thanks Logos for all that you do. We're behind you and hope you receive all of our response as loving support and simply trying to effectively communicate what we value to help you prosper.
The consolidated best guesses have been about two months. I would expect January. It could be sooner, but I would not assume later.
Not a problem at all. :-)
